I coulda sworn there was another thread similar to this but whatever. 
My favorite video game character at the moment would have to be Jack the Biotic from Mass Effect. She IS one of the main people of the game in my opinion.

I used to like Luigi best, but then I found out it was very unoriginal(see a Mario community), so now, Mario is my favorite character, don't see(at least to me) what video game character could be better than him anyway I mean, he saved video games from being wasted.

Look at all the Mario fans. . . Anyway.
A favorite game character is like choosing a favorite child for me, any game I play, I usually like all of the characters in some shape or form, while others can be plain annoying (Slippy. ), plain bad-ass (Auron from FFX), or plain psychotic/insane (Kefka, FFVI, American Version). 
A few of them pop out at  me though.  
Llyod - Tales of Symphonia
Kefka - FFVI, American version.
Shadow - Sonic Series
And, finally,
Kirby - Kirby Series.

Main reason would be that in Dissidia he has the big sword he got from Zack who in turn got it from Angiel or however you spell his name and he seems like he always had a good personality to fit the situation he was in, he was also the first character I played through with in Dissidia.

I have to agree with the person who made this thread. Sonic has to be my favorite video game character. I have beaten all of the games. I would play them a lot when I first started playing games I was like 3 or 4 I used to be wanted to be called Sonic lol. I even watched all the TV series' he had.
