linkman245 : The first time I saw anime was also DBZ. From there I had a few other friends that watched anime so they showed me a few and I kind of started to like it. I'm not massively into a bunch of anime but there are several that I do enjoy. It;s mostly the really violent ones or the ones that spin the tail of an underdog super genius hero lol Good post question!

I originally watched it on YouTube, than I watched it on Netflix and such...  I only found it because I watched a Hasune Miku video, and it was probably a recommended video, that recommended me to like a little music video, than I watched an actual anime.   Ever since then, I've been hooked.  I recently just told a friend to watch an anime, and she's part of my club now, she's obsessed with it a lot now too!  I told her, "Welcome to the dark side!!"

I just remember waking up one morning, walking into the living room, & being excited whenever Digimon was on. Things just kinda snowballed from there going into things like Pokemon, Beyblade, Yugioh, etc. It's kinda weird not being able to pinpoint specifically when I started liking it, but I guess it's because I was very young, around 4 or 5 years old.

 I got into anime out of boredom at first. I just started watching Naruto on Netflix after I played the second Ninja Storm game on my Xbox. But what really got me hooked into anime and manga was Bleach but the only reason I started to watch Bleach was because my friend convinced me after showing Ichigo wreck Aizen in the Anime. So far I have seen Bleach, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple, High School of the Dead, Death Note, Durarara, Nyan Koi, Hyakka Ryoran Samurai Girls, and Rosario and Vampire. I highly recommend all of these anime. Especially Bleach, Naruto and Death Note.

One of my best friends lent me her Fruits Basket box set, at first I was thinking What is this!?!' but then I watched it....I was 13 (now 19) and I still remember falling in love with it instantly. If anything it has changed my life and helped me overcome some difficult times in my life. It even helped me to mature from an early age. So I am thankful to anime, and my best friend

I didn't really stumble upon "anime". The thing is I was so young at the time I didn't know what the difference was between cartoons & anime. I was just looking for some entertainment & I ran into Digimon & Pokemon. Then Beyblade & Yugioh followed shortly after. And now Naruto & Fairy Tail have made their way into my interests. As for when I knew what anime specifically was, probably around high school.
