Hey everyone long time player no time poster, I've never posted once before so before I start I would like to introduce myself. You may call me Demon slay or Reduced Water as that's my Xbox live gamer tag. I'm 15 and live in the wonderful place you call "Earth". I enjoy playing indie games as well as retro games such as are displayed on this site. I'm a very newbie modded as I've only modded one indie game named "Kenshi", I'm a nice all round guy and don't mind a conversation. So if your in the need of someone to talk to then become my friend though the topic will probably be gaming xD.

I've never heard of Kenshi, but I do remember that you were around in the Indie Stone forums. So are you into indie games, or just all types of games?

Also, if you like to have conversations, you should check out the chat room at some point. There are some pretty enjoyable folks in there on occasion.

soxfan849 : Oh I enjoy all kinds of games and yeah I'm from the indie stone forums. And Kenshi is well its a Real Time Strategy , RPG game in which you are not the hero, your an every day average guy trying to live in what is left of the world, you start off very weak and must rely on the help of other members of your squad (easy way of playing) or going around with the military squads (kind of harder since they won't heal you if you get hurt). But other then that you can be a business owner (upcoming feature actually), bandit, travailing merchant, monster slayer (soon I hope) etc. Of course the game is in extreme alpha so some features aren't in, but if you like sword games then its definitely for you I love playing it even with its few limited features. And if starting of being the weakest isn't for you then hit up some of my modding video tutorials on YouTube. Got the same name as on here =P.

Ah I do kinda remember someone mentioning the game somewhere on the other forum. I'll definitely take a look at your videos at some point.

Have you seen some of the Mod for ArmA II that a few people have been talking about called DayZ? It's pretty fantastic looking, and I think I'm gonna wind up shelling out $30 for the game just to get the mod. My laptop doesn't run ArmA all that well, but on the lower settings it does alright.

soxfan849 : Ah same and yes I've heard of ARMA II(2) if you want just buy operation arrowhead which will save you a few bucks on steam since you need arrow head to play DayZ modification on ARMA2. The reason to just buy arrow head is because if you buy combined operations (ARMA 2 & arrow head an individual price of $40 but together cost $29.99) you get HD textures etc but since your computer can't run these (as you said) its best just to get arrowhead .

I think I'll just wind up shelling out the ten extra bucks to get CO, but I might take your advice. I don't know.

Do you play the DayZ mod yourself? I'd love to try to find a group of people to play it with when I do buy the game. It just seems a lot more fun to play in a group than by yourself.

soxfan849 : That's up to you if you end up getting a computer that can handle it in HD with max setting or whatever then CO is a good investment. And no sadly I haven't the money currently to get CO or just arrowhead and yes DayZ is way fun to play with other people since the zombies run o.O
