I am a total nubcake at this. I can never get it to work properly for some reason. I've downloaded every part of each of the 3 Shenmue CDs. What do I do from here? Also, do I burn it onto a CD or a DVD?

i assume you want to play on the computer?
you need to get an emulator, bios for said emulator and sometimes other plugins.

if you want to get it working on you acutual console, you need a modded one, then you burn the game image with a program like alchohol 120%.

let us know which you are trying to do for more detailed instructions

I'm trying to burn it onto a CD so I can play it on my Dreamcast. I have discjuggler. I already burned the Utopia Boot CD, so I know how to burn the CD. The problem is Shenmue came in 5 different files. From what I understand, I have to combine all of these files and then burn the file consisting of the 5 files onto a CD.

you need to extract the rar files, then locate the biggest file from those extracted files.
thats the cd image file.
next you need either a cd image burning software like alchohol 120%
or a cd image mounting software plus a cd cloning software.

if you use alchohol 120% you just choose burn image and pick the image and it burns the cd. done.
this software only has either trial or paid though so you may not want to use it.

EDIT: tried installing diskjuggler but couldnt, dont know why, kept asking for reboot no matter how many time i did.
downloaded shenmue and mounted Shenmue-CD1.CDI with deamon tools and cloned the cd with nero and that worked.
