I have talked to a lot of anime fans and no one seems to know of a couple anime I have. The ones I have presently consist of:
1) .hack//sign (3-disk set)*this everyone usually knows.
2) .Hack//Legend of the Twilight (2-disk set)
3) Infinite Ryvius (Mugen no rivaiasu)

In the future, a solar flare called the Geduld Phenomenon spreads a vast, chaotic plasma field across the solar system, killing many but ironically bolstering humanity's drive to colonize space. Many years later, the Liebe Delta astronaut training center is established to educate teenagers in practices such as piloting, nursing and stewardship. But the center, which conceals a prototype battleship called the Black Ryvius, is sabotaged by an unknown party, and the remaining adult instructors sacrifice themselves to save the station from plunging dangerously into the Geduld field. Meanwhile, the station's 400-plus students discover the hidden battleship and are forced to remain aboard it, protecting themselves and governing the student body as best they can while searching for salvation.

4) Dragon Drive (Doragon Doraibu)

Dragon Drive follows lazy junior high school student Reiji Ozora who routinely gives up on everything he starts and is terrible at his school work. Tired of seeing him give up at everything and continue to perform so poorly at school, his childhood friend Maiko Yukino shows Reiji the virtual reality game called Dragon-Drive. It is a fighting game in which players and their dragon partners face off within a virtual reality city. Reiji's general lazy personality and lackluster school performances lead him to gain a seemingly equally lazy small dragon whom he calls Chibi. Only later do both of their true strengths show as Chibi, despite being small and sleeping in his first appearance, turns out to be the rarest dragon in the game, a discovery which leads Reiji and his friends to another world called Rikyu.



Ever since Media Play close it's doors I haven't been able to get alot of the other good Anime that People either don't know about or think it's not good enough to actually be bought.

watched all of hack from sign all through to roots,
love it, would of liked it if the ps2 G.U games had of been released in PAL...
have to get around to watching the other 2,
i have them around here somewhere...

lets see, an anime i find a few people dont know would be Gravion (2 seasons, 13 eps per season), but aussies miss a fair few animes,
so alot of them dont know whats out in the states and dont bother looking at it unless its highly promoted

see its a little hard for me to say whats "unheard of" only because theres a large chunk more released in the states as compared to here.
so unheard of here could be big over there.
like the star ocean anime, or the tales anime.

There are only 2 heard-of anime in America:
Naruto
Bleach.

I swear to God that is all America talks about; all other animes are "Unheard of" compared to those.

naruto doesnt count.
maybe if they hadnt ripped out all the good bits and jammed it full of filler a'la dragon ball z.

as it is its just a stupid stupid kids cartoon.
i havnt seen english bleach, only the real one.
so i dont know how much they possibly raped it up the a-hole except that the english voices suck.

and yeah, its like that here to pretty much.
if its on foxtel (pay tv) then thats what they go on about and think is anime.

It is so sad. I don't know anyone where I live who knows of any other anime except Bleach, Naruto and some know about Inuyasha. Thats almost nothing.

zero no tsukaima(it has 3 seasons) i think its really funny and everything good fighting magic (mostly magic), hikaru no go it has a manga i know in america but it also has its own show just not in america, blue dragon (yes as the name says it is about a blue dragon) shadow fighters (they fight with monstrous shadows that come to life),Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo once aired in america have not seen it back yet (yes i am sad T-T) it was a show about very random things but i loved it maybe you will to, Busou renkin is a good show to watch to but i would not know how to describe this but it is very good to watch atleast give it a chance.

hey every1 i dont know if any of you have heard of these anime so lets see

1.Ronin Warriors,i used to watch this old school anime back in the day when i was a teen lol.

2. Ninja Gaiden, yup they made a short anime based off of the NES game Ninja Gaiden

3. Devil May Cry, i seen someone else had this on their list which is also based off of the ps2 game. its also a short anime but its good.

4. Afro Samurai, this is a new anime which rocks. basically its a tale of revenge, recently a 2nd part came out for this great anime called : Afro Samurai Resurrection.

5. Tale of Phantasia, this is based off of the japanese game for the snes. i've played it translated into english, it was also re-made a lil bit for the PS1 but its only in japanese if someone can find it translated to english let me know pleaseee

6.Basilisk, i forgot to add this 1

i think maybe only 5-10% of all the anime listed i may not have heard of, but if i could be bothered checking the jap names as compared to english names there may be alot less that i havnt heard of.

amazing considering you americans get like double the anime released over there then we do here in australia

lol i think everywhere in the world should get the same amount of access to anime i dont know why USA gets more than Australia, weird though.

probally same reason we dont get all the games USA does, cause marketing thinks that cause it didnt do well in the states they wont even bother, or that we're too dumb to appreciate it, or some other bull s***.
i've actually contacted like games companys and asked them.
capcom blamed marketing, that marketing decided not to release certain games in to PAL (they didnt know why)
bandai wouldnt answer me and instead refered me to their UK branch, who i then didnt hear back from.
similar stories all round.
and we only have like one anime distribution company here.
and they only release half the stuff they do because their forced by contract to take it (ie, US anime company says, you can only distribute Fullmetel Alchemist if you also distribute this other anime thats not as well known)
forcing them to spend more money. but they do cause they know that the big name will get them the money.

I've fallen behind in animé in general, heh. I'm not into Naruto nor Bleach, and I think I wouldn't be even if I were still up to speed on things.

I'm still all about Cowboy Bebop and Noir... which are pretty well known, so I honestly have no business posting in this thread except that I wanted to mention how I don't care for Naruto nor Bleach.
