How do I get the controls for Ghostbusters to work!? i cannot get a single button to function and resetting the keys for the controller doesn't do a thing.

That is odd because I just tried it and had no problems with the controls. What keys are you assigning to the button configurations? And are you having any trouble with other Sega Genesis games?

Whenever i try to redefine the controls, it goes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too fast to configure any. As soon as i click "reconfigure" it flashes "click for Up, Click for down" in like half a second.

Okay, this is interesting. The configuration should not even go to the next button configuration until you press a key to set it, so the fact that it is just going through all the configurations without you pushing any keys makes little sense. I wonder if you have some kind of keyboard issue. But to make sure, I'll just do a quick walkthrough on the configuration setting. Sorry if this seems insulting because that is not my intention.

1.) Double click the screen
2.) On the line that says Player 1 (Not Player 1-A, 1-B, etc), click the "redefine keys" button.
3.) On the lower right corner it will say "input for up". Push the key you wish to assign that function (do not use your mouse to click anything).
4.) It will do this for all the buttons (Down, Left, Right, Start, A, B, C) in that order. Only push a key when you are assigning it.

I am sure you already knew all of that, but it is just to leave no stone un-turned. I want to ask again because you didn't answer. Does this happen to you with all Sega Genesis games or just this one? If you don't know, test it to find out.

Additionally what might resolve this is if we knew if you're trying to configure the keys with a controller plugged in or not, and which browser you're using.

Edit: which brand of controller are you using?

It does this to me as well. As soon as I hit define keys it starts at press key for up and goes until it's finished automatically. Only for genesis and 32x games of course. SNES and everything else works fine. It hasn't always been this way. Only for a couple of weeks now.

im using chrome for browser and ps3 controller with motionjoy driver
