  Red meat or too much meat in general, as well as having too much starch/gluten and grain in your diet can cause your gas to become pungent smelling.  I would recommend just to watch what your eating, eat a good balance of many food groups (eat lots of fruit), and in no time your farts will be going unnoticed!  There are also lots of food that will make your gas smell regardless of if you eat it all the time.

eg. Eggs, nuts, oily/greasy food, etc.

Some people also have that reaction to dairy. Although, a lot of the time it is because they are lactose intolerant, but that isn't always the case. I have one friend who has to be kind of careful with dairy because if he eats a lot in one setting, he gets heartburn and has smelly gas.

I have smelly farts when I drink a lot of milk and eat cheese .I
