I would have to say I'm caught between RPG's, Survival Horror, and Platforming with a bit of action and shooter. I was pretty big on Final Fantasy (especially FF Tactics for the PS1) and Pokémon.

But out of all my most favorite of games was the Mega Man X series. Mega Man X is essentially a Sidescroller/Platforming game. All in all those games blew my mind growing up, as did the story that came with Mega Man X.
