So they officially announced Black Ops 2. Which didn't really come as much of a surprise to me.

I dont know what to think.. I bought the last 2 COD games hoping for a longer SP campain but sadly I was wrong.  Im extremely disapointed in Trey arch and IW with their attention mostly on the MP features of the game.  Im going to wait a few months after its release date and research it this time and If its the same case then I wont be wasting my money on it, I have a kid due in October and would rather spend the money on something for him/her.  Ill just keep replaying COD 1 and 2 lol

No you morons, its because you make minimalistic changes then ram us with the game at full price for the next 2 damn years.
They need to build them fromthe ground up, new mechanics, new engine, not just the same game with different campaigns and maps.

The FPS genre in general is getting pretty watered down. It seems like there are so many that are crammed down our throat every year. Hell I fell like FPS games are the majority of what comes out for 360 and PS3. I started growing tired of it years ago. I do agree that it's getting old paying for what seems like the same game every year only in a different time setting and new maps. Truth is though, you could say that about a lot of the most popular game franchises now.

That being said, I did enjoy some of the differences that Black Ops brought to the table. It seems like that might be the case again this time around. Some of the new game modes sound like they could be interesting.

thenumberone : I hate first person shooters set in the future... I just cant get into them.  Speaking of late price drops.. they still have CODMW1 at the local game stores in my town for $50-60.. you can buy them online for a lot cheaper but theyre ripping off the younger gamers who dont know how to or dont have a credit card.  I agree with you 100%.. they need to rebuild.. experiment, anything but simply new content.

is call of duty black ops 2 is then same as the 1st black ops i i won't play it but if it's different i will play it i hope it's different 

Seeing as how it's taking place in the far future, And how Black Ops sucked I'm totally not looking forward to it.

It's looking like Halo to me now and the FPS franchise (specifically COD) is just going to desperate attempts and is going down hill.

The only thing I might be looking forward to is the Zombies (if there are zombies) and knowing exactly what happened to Woods (I knew he was alive but no one listened )

The new "Open Ended" single player mode called "Strike force" sounds like it has some real potential. We shall see how it works out in reality though.

There are actually two time lines in this game. 2025 which is where most of the game takes place, then in 1980 during the cold war. In the 80's timeline you will play as "Alex Mason"

In the 2025 part you will play as his son during the "Second Cold War" between US and China.

Many of the real-world hooks are inspired by P.W. Singer's Wired for War: The Robotics Revolution and Conflict in the 21st Century.

The story is was written from the ground up by Dark Knight and Batman Begins co-writer David Goyer. Goyer joined the first Black Ops part of the way through. He wanted to "create a memorable villain" with Menendez.

"The game will be using full-body performance capture to place its actors in the game; the tech demo I saw demonstrated both male and female actors captured with the sort of clarity we've come to expect from games using full-performance capture. James Burns will be reprising his role as Frank Woods, of course."

@jordan mw1 was the most popular, it is equivelant to about $50-60 for mw1 in my store, its retarded,theres plenty copys and its old.
Cod is the worst for same content, its practically carbon copys.

I mean it's starting to look just a little like Halo to me with the futuristic guns they're planning on adding in the game.

They're just going to desperate measures in my attempt in making it better when all they are doing is making it worse.

If you think about it, they are really in a situation where they can't win. If they change it too much people complain that it's too "Different" and if they don't change it, people will say it's the same old stuff.

Jordanv78 : I live in Australia.. due to the economy, prices of most goods are higher in dollar value in australia as aposed to USA and UK.  One game store only sells the premium edition of MW1 (the most fanciest box available ) just for the fact that this gives them the excuse to jack the prices up. 

If there ever was a futuristic FPS that I would play it would be BO2 but I hate them.. Im not saying the story will be terrible.. father and son, both in a cold war battle, each in a different generation.. sounds ok.  When I play FPS games, I want the gun's I'm weilding to be modelled off real guns.. and not some imaginary-made up weaponry. 

I didn't think it was going to be called Black Ops 2, but it is what is I suppose. I look forward to playing it though.

I guess nowadays they are just sticking with a name for awhile. Kinda like Modern Warfare. lol Either way It looks cool enough. Thing is that each subsequent Call of Duty game has held my interest for less time ever since Modern Warfare 2.

I think COD has been reusing Mod 2 with every release..it was okay with Black Ops, but then MW3 was the same thing again and now another Black Ops 2 is coming out..it's all too much. I don't think the series should be killed off but Treyarch needs to add more gameplay changes rather than new weapons and maps and campaigns. They're all fun, but that's what DLC is for, not retail releases. Does anyone agree with me here?

Jordanv78 : o me the game looks pretty bad and I would have liked to see something like the cold war or something. But its fine because I guess every game is going in that direction now so there just riding the train. I'm most excited for the horses loll. But really I just want too see what they do with the multilayer and if I don't like it I will just try to get in the zombies action more since I didint in black ops or waw. all in all i think i still will be picking it up.
