When I had my old dinosaur computer, I was given one of those virtual "VIP" passes to the closed beta of ROSE Online. After playing it obsessively (like, 15 hours daily) the beta ended and all our characters were restarted. I quit and when I came back to play, it said "Pay to Play; 1 month for only $9.99!" I was furious, and apparently so were basically all of its players. After about a couple years of their player activity going downhill, they axed the billing and monthly payments and just made an item mall, making the game fully free to play.
I'm going to join ROSE this weekend, while I wait for any news for AQWorlds. Anyone else remotely interested in this game? I can't wait to play it; I'm gonna be a MUSE* (Mage).  *- The muse is the one with the curled up crystal staff.

Quick Synopsis of ROSE(Rush On Seven Episodes (Or Planets):
Welcome to ROSE! You make a character (Small boy or girl (Pedophile much?)) and give a nice hair do and a face. You go onto the first part. You get a stick! Go hit things! A Quest? Whats this! EXP and Items reward! Woo hoo! A +1 Stick! You hit for +5 damage! Level 10? Excelent! Proceed to the next city to become either a Soldier, Hawker (Archer), Muse (Mage), or Dealer (Gunner/Trader). Level up! Get skills! Become cool! Do quests! High level? Excelent! Proceed to your second job! Dealer ---> Bourgious/Artisan, B = "Official" Trader, Art = "Official" Crafter Soldier ---> Champion/Hero, Champ = Super Strong , Hero = Super Buff (Tough (DEF)) Muse ---> Cleric/Mage Hawker ---> Raider/Scout, Raider = Assassin, Scout = Bow dude. Continue becoming cool and egtting r4d skillz! Make stuff! Get a KART! Make a ROBOT! MAKE A SUPER DUPER FLYING SHIP! RIDE THE ROBOT OR THE KART OR SHIP!(NO WAI!). Transcend to the next planet for more fun! Thats the ideal. Reality: Happy to Join, level up, Grind, Level Up, Get Job, Quest, Grind, Quest, Grind Grind Grind Grind, Boredom, Quit. In that order. Also: I found the concept on the site: There are various tales, fantasies, and legends around the seven planets and many of them contain some grain of truth. Our universe, or as it was called in the old tales, the 'Sea of Souls', was a vast ocean of darkness until the goddess Arua created the seven planets. Each one of them was special and unique. However, all seven planets were created with Arua's love and they shined with the brilliance of seven stars, filling the vast ocean of darkness with wondrous light and life. However, Hebarn, god of malice, grew envious of Arua for her creative power. He forcefully took the seventh planet and pompously named it after himself. Hebarn had become a constant threat to the peace of the seven planets as well as to the goddess Arua. To protect the planets from Hebarn's looming menace, Arua created the Visitors, living beings to protect and inhabit the planets.
