Everyday I seem to have something stuck in my throat and I cannot get it out.  It is really annoying and I feel like I am disturbing my classmates.  What do you think I should do about this?

No seriously, the best advice I can give you is to go to the trash can in school, and spit anything that comes up, even if it's just the saliva in your mouth. If this doesn't do anything take cough medicine, still no results? Try talking to your doctor, because it might be serious. I've had a small cough for like 2 years. It doesn't really bother me too much, but it is still annoying.

So does it feel like a solid object lodged in your throat that makes you feel pressure when you swallow? Or is it like a constant mucous or frog in your throat feeling that you can't get out. It it is the first, I'm sure you already did the obvious things like drink water, gargle, try to cough it out, etc. You might want to try honey. It is thick and sticky and might help pull down whatever it is. Sometimes you gotta wait it out. I had a piece of food lodged in my throat for 3 days once. It was annoying, but it eventually went down. If it is getting painful, you might want to go to a doctor or clinic to get it looked at.

I used to get that actually when I was your age, never saw myself saying that. But yeah, what I found was to blow your nose from your lungs...not just out your nose, also try with plugging one side of your nose or the other while trying to clear it from your lungs (it's not actually in your lungs, but I hope that made sense).

If it becomes problematic, which it seems to be, you should consider getting a check up at the doctors office. Perhaps you have a throat infection, irritation or something similar that could potentially be harmful to your health.

My advice....keep spitting (whatever it is) out, drink lots of liquids, and as I said, visit a doctor to get your throat examined.

This actually happens to me all the time. I am continually feeling as though there is some mucus in my throat, but I can never get it up. And the more I cough and try to dislodge it, the more I feel it there. It's a vicious cycle.

I highly suspect, as several others said, that it comes from severe mucus build up.  I've had the problem a FEW times, and surprisingly, taking allergy medicine seemed to help because it helped clear out my sinuses.  Maybe give it a shot?
