Hey I need help here.I want to have an acmlm board but I don't know how to set it up.Does anyone know any free web hosts that I can use to put up my Acmlm board.Plus I was wandering if you could Help me turn the rate user feature into something similar to the Trust Point system but a tad different.If you can't find a free host that can support the Acmlm code.I will put it up on Media fire and post a Link here when I'm finished editing the code.Any help is greatly appreciated.Also once this is up I plane on doing a promotion to where If you register on my board You'll get the Position you had on here on my board(Weather it was Global Mod Local Mod Elite Trusted Member ETC)

I'm not really good with PHP yet, so I can't really help you much there, but as for the free hosting, I know of a few decent hosting companies:

Right now I use 000webhost.com for my blog, and I've used cwahi.net for a few things.

The only reason I stopped using cwahi was because the servers went down for like 3 months once and I couldn't do anything for a while, but I believe they are all up now. 000webhost isn't bad but they have a 1.5 gigabyte storage max I think... It's good enough for a small blog, but I don't know about a full blown forum.

Hope this helps any, I do mean to learn PHP sometime and once I do I might be able to help you there.

I hope you know what you're doing. Acmlmboard is not easy to use, and it's very old software that lacks a lot of things people take for granted--even here of Vizzed. Just because Vizzed (Or Jul or Board2) has a feature, doesn't mean your copy of AB will, because the last "release" of the software was like seven years ago.

Anyway, I don't know of any free hosts that will support PHP, but I do know How to set up a dedicated we server for free on your own home PC. That way you could at least learn.

Before you dive into an Acmlmboard installation, I'd suggest you look into learning something about PHP and mySQL, because this is definitely not the way to learn, because the code for acmlmboard v1.92 is a huge, unadulterated mess. Good luck anyway, though.

Honestly, you would have been better with ABXD, simply because it's more of a beginner's software.

I haven't ever used Acmlm board software... so I wouldn't know if the admin panel functions like I think it should.

It SHOULD be as easy as going into your admin panel, and finding Add Forums.

Not really. It's tricky to find a free host to begin with, and it's even harder to find a free host that will hold a full size acmlm board for free, if not impossible.

You maybe should look at hosts like bplaced, cwahi (dunno if it's still around), uphero... I dunno.

If you don't already know how to do this, Acmlmboard is NOT the board for you. It's not easy to use, it has absolutely no documentation, and the only real way to "learn" with it is to try things out and break the forum, then fix it yourself.
