So, I'm playing A link to the past and enjoying my retro days, and finally, after everything going smoothly, I encounter a problem that really gets to me.

In the Gargoyle dungeon in the dark world, in the basement where the girl is in the cell, there is a chest that contains a small key that is needed to complete the dungeon.


Well, that is the problem. Somehow, the screen of the game appears to be misaligned just enough to where all the skulls and the chest at the end are not reachable from straight on. The skulls aren't a problem to check for items, since you can go to the side and grab them as well as straight on.

The chest however, is not accessible at all. I tried saving and resetting the game just thinking it was a load error, no dice.   

Went out and went to the light world, screwed around a little bit, came back, still the same.

I am pi**ed.

Can't find anybody with a similar problem on Google. Anybody got suggestions?
