I looked for a similar thread and found one where it was brought up and the only things against it were "You can't download things with the Wii" and "Vizzed is windows only". It just seemed like such a shame to leave it at that when there are possibilities.

The first is not true at all. Many homebrew applications allow you to download things. There is the homebrew browser which allows you to download and install the various submitted applications as well as updating them and of course the applications that will notify you of updates when they are available.

The second is true right now. However, there are many people who would like to prolong the usefulness of the Wii. Some of these people are developers. Many would gladly assist in such a project such as this. The Wii already has emulators on it that work flawlessly for everything before PS1 and is capable of running many PS1 and some N64 games without many or any issues. A system could be implemented in one of two ways.

Number One. You have the Vizzed app loaded on an SD card and accessed via the homebrew channel. It has various emulators built into it using the ones already available for the Wii. You log into your profile, select what game you want and it's downloaded to a temporary file on the SD card for the duration of game play.

Number Two. Modification can be made to existing emulators so people can just load on their own games and provide user info in the app to use this site as a cloud save service so they can access their saves where ever they go.

So there are some thought out possibilities for accessing Vizzed with a Wii.

The only problem with that is that there really aren't that many people using Wii homebrew. I know there is a huge community for that, but they already have their own set of emulators that they know how to use. Why do they need Vizzed? Vizzed is for people who can't download a bunch of games and emulators onto their computers.

Also, it is actually pretty hard to make the RGR plugin, because you have to completely reconfigure the emulators to work over the network in the way that they do, and programming for Wii is very different to programming for Windows. There are a lot of features that people still want with the RGR plugin for Windows, and making another client for Wii (That, as I said, would be used by a very small subset of users) would just take time away from things like multi-player and the (Supposedly) upcoming PSX and N64 plugins.
