Hey Supermamamia, it's great to see you trying to get together with other Sonic fans, but there are already a ton of threads for this, and the General Chat isn't really the best place to put this thread, because there is a Video Games Franchises forum for talking about ongoing franchises like Sonic, and also a dedicated Sonic forum. Unfortunately, someone is going to come by and close this thread, but don't worry, you can still talk about Sonic in the appropriate forums. Also, since you want "Absolutely no promoting Eggman" maybe you could have an Eggman bashing thread in the appropriate forum. I think that would actually get quite a few replies.

thing1 :   why would it be closed??!! Im sad now all i tried to do is make a place where fans could just be happy.. I don't see anything bad in happieness.  Would YOU want to lose your happieness?!?!? please do everything you can to keep it alive. I am just worried it's going to be closed...

I really wonder what the next Sonic game will have and what it would be called because I'm thinking it would be Sonic the Hedgehog 2 2012 like Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

I played Sonic games since I was about 6 years old. The first Sonic game I played was the first STH game for the genesis. Ever since then, I been playing sonic the hedgehog to this very day.

well, there are plenty of these threads. You could change the title to something about "Hate on Eggman here" by editing from the original post. Other than that, I do not know if it will be closed or not, if it has not been already...
Local Mods : I'm trying my best to help people... I would like to eventually become a mod, if possible. I believe this is a dupe, but if he changes it to a  Eggman bashing thread, he will be alright, would he not?

I can see you really care about your thread, so I'll just explain what thing1 was saying. We really only let there be 1 thread of its kind. Any thread that is pretty much exactly like another thread is a duplicate thread (dupe thread), which typically get closed. The reason for this is so it doesn't take away posts from the user who originally made the thread and also so we just don't get multiple threads of the exact same thing. If we didn't close duplicate threads, we would have the a lot of bad things going which I'll list a few:

1. like 20 threads about the same thing. I could imagine the New Post screen being filled with a 'who is your favorite pokemon' thread.
2. spammers would use that as an opportunity to be able to copy/paste their replies in the original threads to the dupe threads for easy quick
    post counts.
3. It could decrease board activity when all people can find is the same thread over and over everywhere. A board is no fun when there isn't
    a variety of topics.

For reasons like this, we don't allow threads to be pretty much identical content. But because you clearly care about your thread, I won't close it under one condition. Come up  with a different title and give your thread something that makes it unique so it isn't like the other thread that already has this topic. Make it about something specific rather than just anything about sonic. Summon me back here when you come up with a more specific topic to make your thread its own and I'll change the title for ya

Only mods can close threads and change the names. Just make a new thread for your PS1. Remember to put it in the About Me forum.
