I don't know how many of you have heard this yet but Michael Bay, Transformers, is producing a new TMNT movie. This is all fine and dandy but there is just one thing. Apparently they're adding a crucial element to the Ninja Turtle back story. They're aliens. The details on this haven't been released but a lot of the fans are pretty mad about this. In fact the voice actor for Michelangelo(?) has publicly spoken out against this. In response to all the uproar Bay has told the fans to "chill, you haven't seen the screenplay. We've actually been working closely with one of the series creators". While I'm not psyched about this I'm holding out a tiny bit of hope that this movie won't rape my childhood.

Also Krang is going to be the antagonist of this movie. Which I like. He needs some big screen love.

interesting.... it's hard to pull Krang into the story without some sort of Alien storyline. I can't remember how he fits in to the TMNT history. He seems very out of place in my memory.

The group was call TCRI, Techno Cosmic Research Institute, in the cartoon/comic and TGRI, Techno Global Research Institute, in the second movie because, yes, it didn't have anything to do with aliens. Scientist accidentally created it in the movie. But that's a slight change compared to changing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles. lol
