For some strange, odd reason. I have been wondering, "What is the thoughts of hearing people have toward to deaf people?" so that, kinda the main reason why I did created this thread. So, please, take a minute from whatever you are doing, and answer this polls with a reason why, or why not did you want to be a deaf?

Please, it'll help me a lot with my own question...

This is just something that I can't see anyone saying yes to, especially the older users. The older you are, the more difficult it would be to adjust to being deaf. You have spent years developing your life around using hearing as a useful tool and having to erase years of development to readjust. So I would say no because it would be a lot to work with to live normally. That and a lot of things I enjoy and do need hearing to some degree. I could still do a lot of them, but they wouldn't be as enjoyable. However, for people who are hearing impaired, I can see why they wouldn't want to hear. They developed their brains to do things without the use of hearing. If you suddenly have hearing, it is hard to adjust (again, assuming you are older and late in brain development). In a nutshell, if I were to be deaf, I would want it to be from a young age. Not now. But altogether, I do not want to be.

No I'm not deaf, I don't wish to be deaf nor did I ever imagine what it would be like. Hearing, along with sight, is one of the most important senses we use in our everyday lives...why would anyone that's not hearing impaired want to be? I agree, with rcarter and most likely the majority of replies this gets..this is indeed an odd question.

Vizzed Ghostblood : Um Ben do you want us to join you or something ?And the answer is no I'm listening to vocaloid with headphones at the moment , you're familiar with it since you have Miku as your layout and I have well the same thing on my profile pic lol.I might be deaf soon if i keep the volume high.

Although there are some noises that would make you wish you were deaf, overall I think being deaf would be horrible. Nothing really positive about it.

Jordanv78 : Eh, Its awesome, in fact, I think being deaf are better than hearing because with being deaf, you don't have to be bothered with stupid noise and such, beside, you can be hearing even as deaf with an impaired. Its rock though, beside, you don't have to be worry at all of getting wake up by sound of falling stuff and such. As being deaf, it will help improve your senses of vision, and feeling even more. Since that they both will become your daily senses more than hearing. In fact, you can even learn how to use sign language so you can talk to other people without having other students or adults knowing what you saying at all. XD

At times when people are just yelling at me for no reason, yes. But overall I wouldn't really want to be deaf.

How about no.

Music is something I enjoy listening to, and I like hearing my girlfriend's voice. Without that, I'd go insane.

So yeah, no thanks, I don't want to be deaf.

To put it bluntly, my eyesight s****. If I didn't have hearing, I'd REALLY be in trouble. I rely on hearing more than most people do, honestly. I'd be in trouble without it.

Vizzed Ghostblood : No I would not,I have a friend who has a hearing aid and can use sighns.Sometimes I think he acts like he did not hear me just to see if I said any thing bad,pretty frustrating like a one way conversation. 

Because I have normal hearing I don't know why you'd suggest if I would want less or no hearing?

That seems way out there - I'm almost certain tht the hearing impaired would want to have normal hearing.

No I wouldn't like to be deaf. I can't really imagine my life being deaf.
