Oh yeah the beginning to super Metroid is awesome! I can't believe that I left that off my list. It really sets a great tone to the rest of the game.

I agree with the Super Metroid intro. The sequence with Samus giving a brief on what happened on the previous Metroid game along with that sweet background music was pretty awesome. Then running through the space colony after Ridley tore the place up was pretty creepy.

I also liked the opening sequence to Ninja Gaiden II. I mainly just really liked the music. It gets awesome near the end of that bit.

I agree with Pokemonman, Ocarina of Time had my favourite opening.
As soon as you popped that N64
cartridge in, you knew you were in for one awesome game! Especially if it was the gold one. The music in the opening didn't really add anything, but it was still an awesome opening
