I saw a post about adding some ds games but I cant find theme. Even if they are their is it possible to add the Nintendo ds.

We will not be adding DS to the site for this reason:
DS is still in circulation and production, so Nintendo is still making profit off of it. For a system to be added here, it has to not only no longer be in production, but it must be quite a few years after production has ceased. We basically have to wait until copies sold are no longer under the copyright owners profit circulation. If we put a DS emulator here now, we could cut into Nintendo's profits and tick them off. They would definitely demand it be taken down, which David legally would have to once asked. But ticking them off like that could result in them demanding all games under their copyright be taken down as well out of spite, which would be a drastic impact on this site.

Now it might be possible that some people have been able to format a DS game into a GBA format so it can be played on a GBA emulator. If you read anything in which a staff said there were any possibilities of a DS game being put in here, it would have to be done that way. But I don't know 100% if such ROMs exist.

Haha. That must have been a thread from a few years ago then You will often see threads with speculations like this. The only for sure rule is this: If you don't see a post from David saying something will happen (or tRIUNE), you don't see an announcement from David that something is going to happen, thern there is likely not any plans for it to happen at the moment.

Where was this post? Do you remember what the thread was called? Do you know what forum it was in? Better yet, do you happen to have the url to the thread to post on here? I'm curious to see this.

Yeah, that was 3 years ago. I wasn't a member that long ago, but I heard about this one. Can't believe I forgot about it. That was kind of jumping the gun on that idea, but it was decided that it would not be a good thing to put on here for the reason I stated above. If this changes in the future, David will leg the higher staff know first, then the rest of the staff, and then he would make an announcement about it. So if you don't hear anything from him in a current thread or announcement, it is best to assume that there is no plans at the moment.
