So as I play the game as soon as it changes from AM to PM the games decides to change from day to night? Is this supposed to happen? Because I haven't seen this before.

The day and night things is supposed to happen. You will find that certain Pokemon can only be found at night. A lot of the later Pokemon games do the day and night thing. But if you are asking if it is supposed to change as soon as it goes from AM to PM, I assume so, as it does I don't think what time it happens is the important thing anyway.

The game changes to night at 6.00PM and changes to its morning setting at 4.00AM. The morning is then 4.00AM until 10.00PM. There isn’t much difference between the times; morning has more bug Pokémon and night has slightly different Pokémon/catch ratios and also if you head butt trees at night the Pokémon will be asleep! There's not much you can do about the time “zones” but what I do is set it so when I play the game (in the evening) its daytime because I don’t like the night setting as much. There is something “your mum” can do to the time as well, I think it either moves the clock by an hour forward/back or by 12 hours forward/back. Does anyone know this for definite?
