It was a shame that Vizzed was down. Although since it was due to heavy traffic, I guess that is good in the sense in that it means Vizzed is popular and all. I forgot that VCS was up this month too. So I doubt this third place spot will hold for long.

Wow. I remember when I actually was competing back in December, it often took at least 30 to get 9th. There were times where up to three people were in the hundreds. This is crazy. I wonder if Tour de Vizzed is going to be as easy to place high in. What confuses me is that the site has crashed twice recently due to an insane amount of traffic (separate from the GoDaddy problem incidents), yet posting is at such a low. I would expect with that much traffic, posting would reflect this.

To look on the bright side, leggy, the top ten still required more than just a single post. Just imagine how many names you would have had to put on the update if that happened!

death_nation : I'd hate to be a killjoy, but just because there are lots of people online does not mean there is competition. Last year, despite the sketchy servers because of a DDoS, there were a couple users who made more than 200, 300 posts in a single day. If you're not careful, somebody could over take you if they tried.

I go away for an entire weekend and there is literally nobody participating. If not anyone at all. This VCS is gonna be an inactive one.

This is another easy competition month. I haven't even done anything yet and I'm blowing everyone away... I could easily win my third VCS without any effort.

haha. If you did that, Leggy, we might get 10 days that actually count for the competition. So far, it is looking like it is going to be even less of a competition than last month, and that was a slow one as it was. Maybe people are just saving their post for Tour de Vizzed next month (it is next month, isn't it?). I recall Lazlo Falconi mentioned pre-typing 31 10,000 word posts so he would get that every day of the month. maybe others are doing something along the same lines.

Last months lacked even my activity.

As I've shown in a previous post, the activity is actually up quite a bit.

It's just not up to where it should be yet.

I haven't even been posting and I'm still in fifth place, hah, what a joke. But then again, what can you expect? Having a so-called "Championship Series" every month clearly won't produce 12 champions.

Yeah, I know. We used to do them once every three or so months... but then people complained about there not being enough, so we did it every month

I personally could care less if it disappeared. It's just my job to do the VCS.

Back over a year ago... we might have had 12 different champions. But those were different times.

Wow. If Leggy had one more point, he would have twice the amount as the 3rd place person. If I had 2 more points, I would have twice the amount as the person in 4th. I know it hasn't even been a full week, but the gap is already starting to grow.

I am not asking this to actually suggest anything, but what would happen if the VCS was removed and we only had the Tour de Vizzed every four months like we do now? Would activity drop to nearly nothing?

5 Posts = 2 points? Wow. I'm shocked by this. I would have expected to be at least off the top 10 but everyone seems to be inactive this month. I guess March Madness is only for Basketball. Not posting.

AuraBlaze : I highly doubt it. Most of the people who post on the board likely don't even try to compete for VCS in the first place. I also know quite a few of the people who are high on the VCS placings this month don't even post to compete, but just to post. There are a few people who might post for VCS, but that is a low percentage of posting users.

Activity is the same, with or without the VCS.

I only run it because some people actually like it for some reason, and if it pleases even one person, it's potentially worth doing.

I'm an example of a person who posts to post, without the VCS in mind. Even in months I've contended, I've never gone for a placing, I've always posted how I felt.

The main reason activity is low I'm guessing is because there's nothing to really talk about. Most people are trying to get their 3rd quarter grades up or getting ready for finals or whatever they are up to.

Plus most of the active members already left Vizzed.

Affected by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and still in the top ten. Haha! What a "fun" contest!
