It works if you own a wii, PS3, or 360. If you don't own a console then idk, a blue output maybe?

Netflix deosn't go directly to your tv. You'll need something to play it off of.
Like becerra said, you can just use any modern console.
You can also use your computer, phone, or this thing called a Roku.

The Roku is specifically designed for Netflix and services just like Netflix.

What do you mean by a "net cable"?
Are you talking about an "ethernet cable", maybe?

Some TVs actually do come with a Netflix app preinstalled, but not all do. Press the menu button on your remote and look for it. I can't really give you more information than that without knowing what TV you have. If you can look on the back of your TV and get the model number, that might could help.

If your TV does not support Netflix, then, like Becerra said, you'll need another device to play it. If you have a computer with DVI output, you could use that through some hokery-pokery, but you'll have to buy a couple of cables.

Also, to answer your question about the "net cable", some televisions are capable of connecting to the internet to download new firmware and update it's services. If your TV doesn't already allow netflix, you may be able to download the software that will--but that's not a certainty. Anyway, answer these questions and I'll tell you how to get Netflix on your TV

1: What is the EXACT MODEL NUMBER of your TV. I know that it's a Samsung but that isn't helpful. On the back there is a sticker that says, "Model Number". Get me THAT NUMBER.

2: Do you have a Wii, PS3, or Xbox 360?

3: If you answered 'no' to the above question, do you have an old computer that you don't use?

4: If you answered 'no' to both of the previous questions, do you have a laptop with DVI-Out or HDMI out? If you don't know, I can look it up for you, but I'll need the EXACT NAME AND MODEL NUMBER of your laptop.

Just do as Mr. Lazlo here says, I'm sure he's way more qualified than I am here. TV's aren't really my thing.

Good luck getting Netflix, it's a wonderful service. lol
