It is because the Retro Game Room Plugin is not compatible with Mac computers. Unfortunately, it isn't financially practical to make it compatible, so there isn't much that can be done about that. But if you are using one of the emulators other than the Retro Game Room Plugin, that might be a different story. Are you?
