Well... I have officially gotten a red flag on my Xbox 360.
1 portion of the RRoD isn't as bad as the full RRoD, but it's still enough to have it sent back to Microsoft.

Apparently, my brother was playing for a long time, and during that time, our neighborhood/houses power fluctuated and attacked the power control to the Xbox, and the games kept freezing. The next day, my brother kept re-booting to see if the freezing may go away (after sleep) and eventually, we got the red flag.

He was playing "Beautiful Katamari" at the time, trying to get 100% collection.

We know the cause of it is because of the power, because it blew the secondary cable modem we have.
(My dad fixed it today.)

Anyways, It keeps cycling between E-71 and E-79, so something's up (and online, it said if you have E-72 with that, you have 3 rings... weird.)

Good thing we still have the warranty.
We're not sending it with anything but the console (No HD, No Memory Cards, Nothing.）
Also, we're getting 1 free month of Live.

Funny thing is, it didn't affect my computer, which was on at the time.

That happened to one of my friends. And it's glitches like the red ring that made me want the wii far more than the 360

And how is the wii not a "next-gen" console? It certainly has more new features than the PS3 or 360 considering it has a new system of gameplay. But that's kind of off topic...

RRoD is not a complete ring, but only 3 lights. You can push you controller connect button to change them to different amount of lights, this is a serial code for a more detailed description of the error.

Just sounds like the power supply is dead. Did you possibly send that with it? Or maybe test another one? (EG. Lack of power, or incorrect power voltages would make the 360 go into safetey "RRoD" mode).

Im just saying what makes 360 and PS3 a next-gen console is lacking in the Wii. It cant, even if you want to believe it can, keep up with the graphics as 360 and PS3 can. Look it up, youll find the differences interesting..

'Next-Gen' isnt refering to graphics or anything like that.
Definition : "Of or pertaining to any method or technology that is expected or intended to supersede present day techniques."
Can refer to anything which is quite updated about it.

GB > GBC, next-gen.
GBC > GBA, next-gen.
GBA > SP, same gen.
SP > DS, next gen.

I saw a real fancy 4 in 1 thing for the 360. Fan, Battery Pack Charger and did some other stuff too... was pretty wicked, but i lay my 360 on its side to fit into a TV cabnit so relatively useless to me.

I've never had any problems with my xbox, and I have had it running for like, 24+ hours at times.

Apparently, not to many people.

An exception is my cousin Brandon.
He went through 5 normal x-boxes.

Most of them had internal damages.

You can get an xbox > USB adapter for like $10 for two. Cant think of the brand i got, but its handy. Can use xbox remote as a remote for my computer.
