Recently I've been looking into the mmo, Lord of the rings online, and have considered downloading it since it is free to play. I was wondering if anyone has played it so that I could get some answers on it before I download it?

I was never really a big fan of the LODR saga, but I've seen demos of the mmo, and it looks fun, I might go ahead and check it out sometime. I do enjoy mmo games.

Yes. I would say it is among the top MMO's out there, more specifically it is now on the free to play list

There are four main races:
Race of Dwarves, Race of Men, Race of Elves, & Race of Hobbits. I usually prefer to play as an elf, or human, though some say playing a human is boring, the point of playing in these fantasy worlds is to be something your not. Go figure, lol. I only tried the two I mentioned so I can't speak for the Dwarf or Hobbits. Those who have the most fun will be the people who love the books, the characters and lands that sprang from J.R.R. Tolkien’s imagination. If you like The Lord of the Rings, you need to play this game.

There are three levels of membership just like in DC Universe just fyi. There’s so much game available to freeloaders that it almost feels like too much game. The other two are premium and VIP subscribers....

-side note: you can actually get lost in the forest :p
