madison : Just be careful with it. This game has the same glitch as Super Mario Bros 1 had where if you get too many lives, it will just automatically kill you and end your whole game. So keep track of how many lives you have so yo know when you are approaching that point. 

And like David said, pretty much any technique you find is fair game. I, for example, exploited the warp zone in world 3 that takes you all the way back to world 1. I kept going in an endless loop of easy levels until I maxed out the score.

Aww, if you gain any more points than the maximum, it resets them back to 0 (or at least it did for me), so I'm guessing you have to slowly approach the maximum point level by breaking 50 point bricks.  Oh well, I have a score that would put me in second place, though I think I'll wait to upload it to see if I can make it better.
