I just bought this one RPG Maker 3 from Game Stop today. It cost me 20 bucks and it's for the PS2. It was made back in 2004. I'm excited because it's 3D game play. You draw like 2D but when you go into game play it turns it into 3D. There are a lot of neat features I read about it. But I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I can't wait. Have any of you heard of it? Or ever used it? I want to talk about it. I'm gonna start usin' it and see how cool it is. You need 2705 KB's of space on your Memory Card though. I think it's worth it. I'll tell you guys more about it when I start using it if you want.

To Admins:

I put this is Video Games because...it's a video game that helps you make a video game....move it to somewhere you think it is needed to be at if this place isn't suitable, I dunno..."I'm retarded." -Tommy Boy

Hahaha! You have no idea how hard I laughed when I read what you said iBock. I think you deserve to hear the story on how I came to obtaining this relic that you've been searching for for so long.

Well, for the past 2 weeks, I've been able to get a little bit of money here and there and at Game Stop there's the little section where games are 10 bucks and below and then like 20 bucks and below. For the first week I just browsed the 10 bucks and below and I bought Extreme G Racing (pretty good game by the way, I beat it, you can buy a 1500 G engine, crazy fast) I also bough later that week, Ghost Recon for my cousin to play (beat that one a long time ago and forgot, so i'm plagued with it on my shelf of games...till I break it or something.) While buying that one I saw Wild ARMs 4 for 10 bucks so I decided to come back later. When I did, I bought it. (I've been playing that one for a over 20 some ought hours, it's really good, I like it.) Then the next week, I invited my friend over and was like..."dude, lets go get a video game" and he said, "Alright, i'm drivin', not buyin'". That was fine with me, so we go there and we were lookin' for a fun game to play and he decides that we should get a shooting game. Knowing PS2 there aren't that many good shooting games for the console, that's why military dudes bought an XBox most of the time. While searching for the shooting game, I was lookin' for Time Splitters because that's all I really knew about that would be ok to play and when I was going down the games that were in alphabetical order, I skim over the R's and was like "What!? RPG Maker 3! I didn't know they made one of those! I've only heard about the one for the PS1!" I didn't buy it then and there because it was 20 bucks. But I had my eye on it. Instead when we bought a game I bought Def Jam Vandetta, the older one, along with Extermination (because it looked cool, which it is), the next 2 days went buy and my dad gave me some random job and gave me 20 bucks for it and I bought it. It was the only one left, but I got it.

I guess what I'm tryin' to show is that, I happened to fall upon it, when you have been searching for it for a really long time....that is why I kinda laughed....sorry.

If you want, I can tell you about it. It is really hard to use. In a way, there is so much you can do it with, then there is not enough. So it is hard to do what you wanna do...so...yeah.....

Sorry about your luck dude, maybe i'll mail it to ya' if it drives me crazy, hah. (not likely, BUT THERE IS A CHANCE! )

Yeah, it's pretty fun, it's limited in what kind of things you can have for visuals, for characters and monsters and skills and such. It's pretty hard to use, ESPECIALLY when you lose your keyboard to your ps2...

I've been making games w/ Rm2k3 for like 3 years. I'm getting sick of using my PC now to make them.

Yeah, change is good. I just think that there is more you can do with RPG Maker 2000/2003 than on the PS2, mainly because you can always make designs of you're own and put your own music on it. With RPG Maker 3, you are limited to the little that they have with the program AND IT TAKES 2705 kbs TO MAKES A FILE! No biggie though if you have the room.

I have used rpmaker 3 for a while as well. A friend game it to me.
To be totally honest I was somewhat disappointed. Not actually by the limited options, that's more or less common sense when using such software to make a game.
Though, the main factor was that it seemed so obviously unrefined. I strongly believe that having it in 3d was actually a major drawback. To counter myself maybe that also has to do with the fact that I love 2d graphics and games.

I bet the biggest problem with RM3 is the fact that you HAVE to use all the default graphics.

Yeah, that's what I think, I like the 2d graphics better, I don't like those 3D graphics, they are so basic, it's ridiculous.
