Ok, killer hint now. The word is 5 letters long, and the paragraph has five lines.

Darkpower508 : Now that you said that, yesterday I've noticed something. If read straight down, then the letters are ''Erkip''. Is that the word and if not, then I give up. For I have spent 4 days on this puzzle.

wait, i thought you told someone earlier that they could write it out themselves if they wanted. i took that to mean the orientation of the
paragraph didn't matter, but it does? 

and i thought the hint was 4? where did the 5 come from? i guess the 5 is the next step and u just gave it to us, but seriously, how were we supposed to get on our own? Just wondering. Suppose u can hold off on answering if it gives anything away.

Now time for an uneducated guess: is the word "shade?"

Blue_Rose88 : That isn't the answer, but you can say it certainly is part of it. How can you apply 4 to this weird random amount of letters to make a word?
danielbelitch : The hint was four. I just said the word you are looking for is 5 letters long, with five lines. In all seriousness, there was nothing for you to "work out" logically that you needed 4. The only way you would do is through trial and error. Oh, and you just can't guess the answer. You only get the Viz if you can explain why it is that word. By the way, it's the wrong answer, sorry.

I think I got it.

The answer must be "angel."




Look at the jumble of letters, erkip. As Rose said, it's spelled out by the first letter of each line. With the hint of 4, you go back in the alphabet 4 letters for each letter in the number, and they form the word angel.

Darkpower508 : Don't worry, if you said that I had it, then I would've explained. I took one letter from each line out of the words that were 4 in. 'shade' was the only thing that made sense. But I guess I give up now, especially if Someone70 is not right. Don't see what else you could do...

Someone70 : Yes! That is the answer! If I had put the word erkip and the number four, people might assume the ceaser cipher and get angel, but if I had just let     "a" "n" "g" "e" and "l" at the first letter of every line, people might sopt this straight away. Combinding the two made seemingly that there was no answer. I couldn't edit my post otherwise my perfectly placed paragraph would have been messed up. Viz will be sent.

I was thinking of posting my other part to this puzzle. Yes, this comes in two parts. The answer makes sense when both pieces of the puzzle are combined. But I recently found out by some of my friends that it has some errors in. Plus I think it's easier. I'll see if I can fix it soon and post it here.

Sure, post the other puzzle, if you think it's ready for us. But if you find there are flaws or discontinuities in it, I would fix those first.

The whole paragraph thing I never would have caught because I don't see the 5 lines on my screen. If it wasn't for what Rose posted, I never would have gotten it.

Ok, when my layout is like this (normal), are you able to see two lines in total? Or do you see, three or even five? Or is it just the one? Anything at all?

Darkpower508 : Glad someone solved the puzzle (in more than one way lol). If you're accepting feedback from more multiple users to answer your current question, then I must say I see a full 2 lines. I'm also using chrome, if this data helps you or anyone.

Oh, the issue might be I keep seeing your paragraph from the "reply" page, so your layout doesn't apply there. I see only three lines in your original message on the reply page, but with your layout, I see the 5.

good job someone70 i pondered this in many ways and came up with many things that werent even close but congrats someone
as for dark i like this concept and would like another one but please dont rush and make sure everything that you can possibly find is correct

To whom it may concern:


"Note how this won’t be as easy at the last one. The last puzzle was a prime example to look for
obscure ciphers that no one would even search for if they weren’t looking for it.

Now, you solved it, and I do say you do have potential, and the rest. Anything that is
obvious mightn’t appear to be there, but it won’t hurt to try it out. Oh, anime won’t add
that Caesar Cipher in to this one, so you don’t need to worry about that. You show some
high analysis skills, this might not seem hard. Anyway, you want the cipher, don’t you?
I did start to show ciphers right after the “to whom it may concern”. Any of this might be
nothing, or could hold part two of the very clue you need to crack these words. Well, go and
get solving, then!

Hours later some words appeared in my mind as I was in a purgatory of white light. I’m
evenly floating with nothing but words to keep me company. I couldn’t move properly
ridge my body in the way I wanted. The painfully slow second ticked away as I just
existed there, unable to move properly.

On top of that, I couldn’t remember the word to describe this place. My mind was blank
here. I had a feeling that…..this line of thinking….one word can’t describe it.

‘Anyone there?’ I said, as I tried to turn around. I couldn’t tell if I was turning or…beats
largely due to all this white light making everything look the same. I felt like I was
repeating the same thing over and over, with no end and seemingly no beginning.
Irate, this annoyed me, I called beats of pelage - louder this time – to see if anyone
Got my signal. This got on my nerves, and wished that I could move freely, so I may
hunt for clues on this place. Then I fell flat on my face, miraculously, no nose bleed.
That was better than not knowing when you were moving or nor.

Then I realized I could walk. I could turn around, but everything looked the same.
Right next to me, I noticed a chair, but I ignored it and walked in one direction to see
yonder the area.

‘Even if you walk all day, you won’t get any further than where you’re standing!’
vented a voice from behind me. I turned around this time to find a silhouette of some
eerie figure, just close enough to tell it was human, but too far away assume something
right away. His voice was the menacing dark kind of someone not social. I couldn’t
yield anything at the moment.

‘This world is very unusual’ continued the mysterious figure. ‘You can see it with your
eyes, consider yourself lucky. I know many that would kill to be in your spot. You just
need to know where to look. That will give you some sort of clue as to where to go.
This is beginning for both you and me, but our paths will be separate.’ And with that,
he turned around and walked off.

Worried, I tried to look for what could be a clue, but I could only see a void of white,
obscure light blocking my path. How was I going to find anything without a lead? But
right there and then, I felt a wall on the left hand side of me. A sign, perhaps? Am I
delirious? I decided to follow this smooth stone wall to the end."

After reading the letter, you notice something. What is this guy trying to tell you? Explain your answer
