Hello everyone, I am The Odd Man Out, quite literally in real life and online, I always end up being.... odd hehehe, any way back on to the matter at hand, my introduction. Well to tell the truth, I don't know what much to say so I will just say this, I am a gamer. I love to play games and I miss many of the older games that were out when I was younger, such as games from the SNES era and such. Granted I love where games have gone, no one can beat the classics, am I right or what? Anyway, other than gaming I love to read fantasy and adventure books and have recently finished the Eragon cycle, so if anyone wants to mail me about that if they have read it as well, I would love to chat about that.... what else what else.... Umm I like to play games that it seems like no one else really likes (at least no one I know) such as Pikmin and Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube, thus another reason for why I am named what I am. Well I suppose that I have bored everyone long enough with my ranting and raving, but if anyone wants to chat, I am always open to talk. I hope this counts as a suitable into to myself and would love to meet many others that share my love for these games.

Oh drat, I knew I forgot something in my intro. Well I have a friend that I met online elsewhere, where exactly is unimportant, who is into video games just as much as I am. Well we got to video chatting for a while and ended up getting onto the topic of the older games and some of the games we liked from that generation. So after a while he ended up posting a link to this site. his name is Odd Gamer so yea, we have a little in common apparently.

Do not stress yourself out about your introduction. Most people do not even post once on the Vizzed Board. And do not go thinking you will entirely be "the odd man out." Personally, I think the only people who turn out to be that are the ones who do not follow the rules (of the board). Well I thank you both for that warm welcome and I do tend to follow the rules the best I can, after all, we are all just here to have some fun right? Why not just follow the rules and all have the fun together. I love meeting new people and I am glad to say that I am happy to talk about just about anything game related if you guys want to talk. As for my introduction, I just wanted to say hi and besides, it is only polite to introduce yourself to others that you first meet. And I suppose you can call me Tomo for short, but that sounds more like a Japanese female name... oh well, I guess that can't be helped... But to end this post I shall ask one thing, what would system would you recommend starting with to get used to the way this site works? I have my eye on either the GB or the SNES due to some of the games that are on each, what do you guys think?

Well, others beat me to it, but welcome to Vizzed. You seem to be an interesting fellow. Although, I have to point out that every time I look at you username, I read "Old" Man Out instead of "Odd" Man Out. So I keep moving my cursor over your name to see how old you are even though I already checked it out. Random, I know. Anyway, you might not find yourself as odd here as you expect to. As said, there is a wide variety of people here, and I bet you can find your twin here. Another tidbit, I love Pikmin. Never played Eternal Darkness because I never had a GameCube until I got a Wii, so I buy GameCube games for it from time to time. Just never found a copy of Eternal Darkness. Looks interesting though. Do you plan on posting on the board much while playing in the Retro Game Room, or do you plan on mainly sticking with one of the two? Anyway, if you have any questions or experience any issues, feel free to ask. That is partly what I am here for. Have fun.

Well I can assure you that I am indeed only 19, so I am not ... old... bleh... anyway, I thank you for your welcome as well and I do believe you are quite right, I am sure there are plenty of people out there with my similar interest, but none that I have met so far... well except for you. I do recommend Eternal Darkness, it is a good game but I am currently stuck on a boss, can't beat it no matter how many hints I look up. I will warn you though that it WILL freak you out from time to time with the different insanity effects, although they are pretty cool, hell, some might ever get you to look around your own room wondering if the game is messing with you and not just the character you control. But instead of dragging on and on, I will answer your question and say that I will be here in the long run to post as well as play some of the classic games I miss. And maybe some day I will know enough around here to help other newbies that are in the same position i am in, or by that point, the same position I used to be in. And I actually do have one question, I want a picture of Nanaki from Final Fantasy 7 as my picture, like yours is Sephiroth, how do I go about getting a picture like that up, or even the background type posts that AuraBlaze has?
