On the Xbox 360, you can play music while playing a game.  On the PS3, it would not let you.  Don't you think that they should start having this on the PS3?  If so, I would definitely play more PS3 games than I usually do.

You already can for some, alot dont allow it though.
For ofline, yes it would be a good feature, choosing your own tunes makes the experience far better i think, obviously some parts of games have great music at certain points in the campaign so it should disable your tunes at these points, but otherwise, yes, it would be good.

Yeah, that would definitely be a good idea. Wouldn't it be awesome to listen to some good ol nostalgic Mario music while blasting the heads of many in Call of Duty?

vizwiz123 : i mistook you for legacy with that name
But online music would get abused, when people have headsets and music the noise is horrific, you need to block the person playing and any1 that hasnt blocked them or it comes through theres, it'd kill game chat.
Offline only i feel.

thenumberone : I think that on the Xbox 360, you can only play music offline.  I agree with you about the online part.  Who knows who will put annoying rap music or deathly metal rock music and it is so loud that it is hurting your ears.  Cannot stand that.

I like that idea. I wish we could listen to music while playing any and all games cause it would make things a little better towards PS3 users

Hmm...yeah for offline usage it would be a nice option for the next few upgrades. For online purposes it can be abused quite easily and not everyone would want it. Perhaps for SMALL games one could have a visible option in lobbies if it was to be implemented...like when you join games, you can see if it is enabled or not.

If that can't be done, offline use only.

Does anyone know if any RPG games have this feature? It would definitely let me set a good mood for the game while playing through it.

I thought that's what music unlimited does. I never payed much rules since it costs money (cheap, I know).

I read that the reason Playstation doesn't do this is because Microsoft has some sort of patent on the feature to play music while gaming.
