I thought David bought all the games on this site. Doesn't that mean that it shouldn't affected by SOPA? Or is it because he technically doesn't have permission from the owners of the games?

Just because the owner of this site is putting ROMs on here doesn't mean the site is safe. He isn't the owner of the copyrights of the games. What keeps this site legal is the fact that the ROMs here are not available for us to download ourselves. We play them off the site. But because he isn't the owner of the copyright, all the copyright owners have to do is request/demand that games under their copyright be taken down. If he doesn't comply, then he would be breaking the law. However, with SOPA, it isn't just the responsibility of the companies to request/demand their stuff be taken down. The part of the gov. overseeing SOPA will have the power to take out sites that have things that the owner doesn't have the copyrights to.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
