To start out, I love this game alot, but my game save system is messed up somehow and everytime I turn off the gameboy advance/DS, everything would be erased. I found the game on here but I heardthat some characters like Amelia, Ewan, and Ross could Class up without needing the Class Items simply by leveling them up to 10. For Ross apparently you need to level him to 10 before chapter 3 ended, which I succeeded in doing so, but nothing happen. So I was just wondering if what I heard was true. :/

When they're in Trainee stage (Pupil, Recruit, etc), they need to reach Level 10 to class change. The class change occurs sometime before the next battle. It never happens during that battle. After that class change, they essentially become a normal unit that follows the same characteristics as any other unit in the game.
