My two favorite bands are really underrated their called brand new and bright eyes.
other good music that's underrated I love is Scattered Tree's, Straylight run, Alkaline Trio, The Weepies, Manchester Orchestra, Destry.
Theres a lot more but that's all I can think of right now.

I've heard a lot of underrated dubstep artists around the net, like on Newgrounds, Youtube and Soundcloud. Man some of those lesser know artists are almost better than some of the big name ones like Datsik and all of them.

The best under rated group I know of is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. They're a Swing Revival band that is actually pretty popular in that circuit, and gets air time in a lot of movies and TV, but nobody has actually heard of the band. But I would be willing to bet money that nearly every person on this board has heard--and enjoyed--at least one of their songs.

Some of the most underrated artists I know are Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Celtic Woman, Skillet, Billy Joel and Alanis Morisette.  All of them are pretty awesome in terms of voice quality and creativity of songs.

Yeah, I agree with Vizwiz. Video Game music seems to be very under rated, Nya~.
I love some of the music they throw into video games, with the music from Sonic games and Devil May Cry for examples.
Unfortunately, it seems like games are almost mute nowadays due to how under rated the music was before then, Nya~ :/

If your a rock fan when it comes to music the band Mercy Drive are extremely underrated in my opinion

Best songs would have to be "Memory" and also there more famous song "Burn In My Light" which was WWE superstar Randy Orton's theme from when he was known as "The Legend Killer" before he took on "The Viper" persona
