First, I was wondering what kind of good luck you had the entire day before the small unfortunate event?

I had a HORRIBLE day today. I was driving to class, and my car died on me in the middle of the road. I couldn't get it running long enough to take it to an auto shop, so I had to call a tow service to take it for me, which that in itself was expensive. Turns out they had to completely replace my fuel filter and fuel pump. The whole thing including the tow service ended up costing me $710. Definitely not a way I want to spend my day or money. Sure makes affording a wedding a little more difficult.

I forgot that it was 'Friday the 13th' - I don't let that silly stuff get to me, it was just an ordinary day with 2 service calls for my job and posting here.

At least it's not a full moon though, or is it (haven't checked lol)

Until I saw the title of this thread and checked the date just now, I had no idea that today was Friday the 13th.

My day was fine. I had an uncomfortable phone conversation but other than that, I can't complain.

I've actually had fantastic luck today! I had a surprisingly easy day at work, which was amazing because work for me is usually either a super boring trudge through hours of doing absolutely nothing worth my while, or working so hard my fingers turn to bone. And today, I was working on the engine of an M9 Armored Combat Earthmover, which is usually the biggest pain in the bollocks, but everything went better than expected. I didn't even spill any hydraulic fluid on my body this time, though I did get a little coolant on my foot.

And then, as if that weren't enough, at about 1 PM I was told that I'd be allowed to go home after 3! Then I came home and took a nap which was actually quite pleasant. It's cold at my house, you see, and I never turn the heater on because it's not all THAT cold. So that was a nice day for me!

Well my Friday was alright. First Friday of the semester, but had a Diff Eq quiz anyway. Did the homework before the quiz though, and that's unlike me (I usually never do it). I think I did alright, but made it harder than it had to be....

However, the longest game of Risk I have ever played began about a quarter to midnight on Friday night. I actually got a very bad flu virus. I was in an extreme amount of agony for about 36 hours. I was so weak I couldn't walk, and I lost my appetite because I was so nauseous, so I basically lay in bed having disturbed sleep from abdominal cramps, nausea, sweating, migraines for a day or so.

Why did I not notice that last Friday was Friday the 13th? That's one of my favorite horror movies. You'd think I would notice the day it was named after. Ah oh well. Nothing much happened that day. Just the normal day of cleaning house and cooking food. That was before my classes started so I was in housewife mode.
