I've been looking for this story....again I seem to always loose it and forget about it lol anyways All I can remember is Giles finds Harry abandoned in the middle of England I believe and he senses he has magical power he then takes him in and takes him to the watchers council and Travis?? I think his name is offered him a few options one he could go to Hogwarts and be an okay magic user or two he could stay with them and learn all sorts of things including magic 

I know after wanting to be apart of them he makes Giles his father. This story is a little old so you wont find it in any of the new stories... I don't even know if its been updated I think the original author gave it to someone else last time I found it
