Hi. I'm new to the site and as a newbie I was wondering if there was an option where you can record yourself playing a game at the Retro Game Room. I would really like to make some Let's Play videos, but I can't seem to find any recording option. If there's any recording option that I'm not aware of, please reply. Thanks.

Right now, the RGR doesn't support its own recording option. You're allowed to record yourself for LP's but you need to do it with an external program like Fraps or Hypercam. Recording might become a future feature though, so be on the lookout for that.

rcarter2 : Thanks for welcoming me (and also to Someone70 for answering my question). As for the questions, I came across this site when I looking for Super Nintendo games online. I don't really plan much on posting on the board (unless I have an issue), but rather play some of the retro games. As for my favorites, I like lot of Castlevania and Mega Man games along with Ninja Gaiden, Contra, and a few beat 'em up games. So far I'm trying to beat Super Castlevania 4 and Mega man X3 (which is a really hard game). Anyway thanks for the welcome.

CamStudio is what I use. it isn't great, but it works well enough. However, I didn't think that videos could be uploaded here. You can make play through videos or "Let's Play" videos, but you would have to upload them somewhere like YouTube. David has mentioned a recording feature in the future, but it won't happen for a while. We just got an updated RGR plugin recently, and it costs a lot to implement a new one that has more features such as this.
