im a big fan of zelda but majoras mask gets the most hate i like it not because the games is outstanding the game is dark and thats the way the game should be but thats still not why the thing i like about it is the 3 day thing amazing part hopefully the bring the awesome game back

Ah this is a wonderful question, because nearly every Zelda game has been a gem and a treat to play. From their excellent game design, character styles, and sense of being apart of something that's far bigger than yourself. They really do capture the spirit of adventure perfectly.




As for the subject of my favorite one? This is actually a pretty tough question. When I was younger I would have said Ocarina of Time in a heartbeat, but now that I've grown up and had more time to play other games that answer isn't so sure. Of course Ocarina is an amazing game, though sometimes it can be over hyped by just a little, and it does owe a lot to A Link To The Past. One problem I've found with LTTP though was, though the music was fun, it had very little variance within the actual tracks. I often found myself humming the OoT 'Lost Woods' theme when playing LTTP simply because that song was more than just the same six seconds of beat repeated over. Not saying that Link to the Past is a bad game though, it's certainly far from that, but it is far from perfect like some people claim it to be.




Two more obvious good ones are Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. I never had much chance to play either of these, though I did play Twilight Princess for a little longer, and for one reason or another I ended up liking it more than Wind Waker. Sadly, I don't own a Wii or a Gamecube, so I can't fully compare TP to OoT, though if you put a gun to my head and said pick I'd probably choose OoT. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time with Twilight Princess, and I REALLY loved the dark atmosphere it brought along with it's "realistic" graphics. I just think people discount Ocarina in the dark aspect, for it certainly had some VERY dark moments. The first time I experienced fear when playing a video game was when you go into the future for the first time and that bright and vibrant town suddenly got switched out with Silent Hill. Those zombies were downright terrifying at times.




I suppose I've rambled long enough. To answer the question properly, my favorite Zelda game IS Ocarina of Time, though it is a close decision for me, seeing as how there are other great games in the series.


Oh and the Zelda CGI games? Ha ha ha ha ha ha..... never talk about those again.

I would choose the 1st game. Because it doesn't have any prequel content. Plus the 2nd game is like such a real sequel.

So technically, I like the early Legend Of Zelda games.

TloZ The minish cap. It is an underrated game and if you take the time and play it you realize its quite fun and addicting.

Classic? Ocarina of Time for sure. Newer? Skyward Sword up the ass. It kicks so much ass you'll have to buy a new pair of butt cheeks.

Ocarina of Time is still an all-time favorite. So it Majora's Mask, Link to the Past, Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The adventure of Link!

'A link to the past' is my favorite. It was a while ago and I was a young lad and I remember beating puzzles and bosses and feeling good. 'Ocarina of Time' was pretty good, due to being 3d with actual time passing....'Majoras Mask' was hard! I was terrible at it....

I've only played those on this site, but I love Ocarina of time. A link into the past is good too, and my computer won't support Majora's mask.

My all time favorite is Majora's Mask. It feels different from other Zelda games but, it still has that same feel as if you're playing one. MM has a darker more depressing feeling from other Zelda games (and no I don't mean BEN for all of you who know who BEN is) it could be from the side quests or how you obtain some of the masks. For example, When you find Mikau almost dead and he tells you his last words and how his eggs were stolen by the Gerudo Pirates. Once you heal Mikau the Zora mask appears and his soul lives within it. The story behind some of these masks is emotional but, that's what makes it so interesting. Link heals all of these troubled people and it makes it all the more fun to play through MM. I wish they would remake it for the 3DS like OoT or at least give the audience a small hint. My second favorite Zelda game is Wind Waker ,but that is a different story.
