Well here's the first one I'm going to do. I'm only going to put one chapter on so that if people don't like it they can tell me so. I do hope that you guys like it. I mostly write fantasy romance so please go along with it. I would love your feedback. Title First day I don’t know when it started or even how all I can remember is that all women scare me. I get extremely nervous and kind of shaky. My father tells me that I had a twin sister so he does’t understand why I’m so scared of them. My dad tells me I look exactly like her. I wouldn't’t know because I’ve only seen her a few times in my life. My sister, so I’ve heard, was in an all-girls school for about three weeks before she died with my cousin in a car accident a week ago. “You are going to go to that all-girl school in your sister’s place,” dad said one day. “Your sister wasn’t very social so she didn’t have any friends in the class. It’s your job to make friends there and get rid of your fear of women.” I stood up. “What do you mean go to an all-girl school? I would get caught right away and where would I stay? None of our family lives up that way.” “You would stay in the same room as your sister did. All you need to do is go to that school for a year then you can come back here. This is our last hope to cure you of your fear of women. You’ll be heading out in the morning. You’ll be stepping into a school full of women,” and he turned laughing. It would be a bit more logical if I was afraid of men. The guys at my school call me names and the girls ignore me. Dad makes fun of me every chance he gets. It’s not like I want to be afraid of women it’s just that I can’t stop from shaking. “Fine, I’ll go but only for the first month. If I cure it by then I’m coming back here. So I’m going to have a room to myself right?” I followed him into the den. “If I got this right you’ll have a roommate. I hope you can get to like her. That would solve all of my problems. You’re not going to need any clothes since you’ll be using your sisters. And when your sister comes out of the coma that she’s in then you can come back right away.” “Coma!? I thought you said she died.” “Well technically she’s not supposed to wake up but knowing that you two are twins makes me think she will. It’s only a matter of time. A little concussion is nothing for our family!” dad yelled smacking me on the back. He chuckled. “You two have grown and matured at the same rate your whole life. I want you to become stronger so that we can live together again. You, me, your mom and sister.” A sad expression crossed his face. He sat down and looked at the picture of my sister and mom that was sent to us right before the accident. She is basically identical to me. Even our names are almost identical too. Her name is Alexandria and mine is Alexander. “I’ll do my best. I’ll do whatever it takes to get over it. I’ll be ready to go in the morning.” I turned and walked towards my room. Dad was hiding his feelings this whole time. He tries to be strong when he shouldn't be. I opened my door and went and collapsed on my bed. This is going to suck big time. I don’t know how long I will last but I’ll try for my family. I rolled over to face the wall and closed my eyes. I’ll go to sleep for now. I’ll think about this stuff tomorrow. I walked forward in the darkness. It was silent and there was no motion except for me. There was nothing but me and the dark. I walked some more but nothing happened. I stopped and stood looking, listening. Nothing. I sighed. Rustling sounds came off to the left then footsteps. They were headed my way. I looked in that direction. I couldn't’t see anything. The sound stopped in front of me. A hand grabbed mine and everything became white. The one holding my hand was me, or looked like me. The other one smiled at me. “Hey brother, it’s been a while. I‘ve been wondering when I would get to see you again but to see you like this, it makes me sad. Why only when I’m stuck in a coma. I wanted to get to know you.” She let go of my hand and sat down looking off into space. I sat down beside her. “Why not stay with me then. If you were able to connect with me now then why not just stay here? I’m fine with you being with me.” She looked at me and smiled. She hugged me and started to cry. “I thought you were afraid of girls? Wont you be scared to be around me?” she let go of me and moved away from me. Usually when a girl gets anywhere within a five foot radius I start to shake uncontrollably. But she even hugged me and I had no reaction. I reached out and grabbed her and hugged her. No reaction. I grabbed her shoulders and held her out so I could see her eyes directly. “I would never be afraid of you. You’re another part of me. We are two separate beings but we are one when we are together. I don’t really care if you stay with me till your body becomes healthy again. Actually it would be helpful to me.” “Why? Did something happen?” I stood up and grimaced. “Well, kind of. Dads making me go to your school to get rid of my fear of girls. I can talk to a girl at a far distance but sleeping in the same room as a girl will be troublesome. And if I just start shaking out of nowhere then people will get the wrong impression. I don’t want anyone in there to find out that I’m a boy. It’ll cause even more problems.” She stood up and smiled. “I see. You’re in quite a predicament.” She turned and walked away. Everything became dark again and I heard my alarm going off. I reluctantly opened my eyes to see that it was morning. I sat up and yawned. What a crazy dream. I stood up. “Good morning, brother.” I jumped. I looked to the end of my bed where the voice was coming from. There ascended in midair was my sister. She smiled as I sat there my mouth agape. “What is going on? Why are you floating?” she floated around me and then landed on my bed. I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. It stayed there. “Are you a ghost?” “No. I just left my body back at the hospital. It seems that I can travel freely now but no one else can see me. I already tried to talk to dad but he didn’t notice me. It seems that you’re the only one meant to see me.” “Eh! What does that mean? It’s good that you’re not dead but why are you here? This is so weird!” “I think it may have something to do with us being twins. I found your mind last night and you said that I could stay with you so I stayed. Do you want me to go back?” “Why don’t you wake up? Wouldn't’t it be easier that way?” I walked over to my dresser to get dressed. She floated along beside me. “I don’t have enough energy in my body to do that. It seems that it’s using all of my energy to heal itself. Anyways I can feel how lonely you are. I’ve always felt it. That’s why I don’t have any friends you know. I was constantly feeling lonely, even when with other people. With me here you won’t be lonely even if you’re alone. I’ll always be with you.” I started to get undressed. She turned around. “So our emotions are connected? Why didn’t I notice? I’ve never had that happen to me.” I put on my shirt and pants. “I’m done.” She turned back around. I walked over and sat down on my bed. “You wouldn't. Your emotions were always stronger than mine. Since they were stronger than mine I was constantly feeling the same thing you were. When I was at school I was sad and lonely. After school was the only time I was allowed to be happy. I just want you to be able to be happy. That way I can be happy.” I sighed. If I had only known that I was affecting her so much I would have tried harder. Wait, that time when the guys in my class started to pick on me. When I started to feel sad I suddenly felt a soothing presence. That was her. “That was you. You were in my head telling me that I could get through it, that I wasn't alone. You said that. You were there when Pooki was hit by a car to. That was you wasn't it.” “Maybe, I don’t really remember. Well either way I have always felt what you felt. I’ll stay with you for a while to help you with the school.” I smiled and looked at her. Not much difference between us the only thing was our voices. My voice was slightly lower than hers. I tried to match her pitch. It took me a few seconds to get it. “I might be able to do this. It’s kind of hard to keep it this pitch but I’ll try my hardest.” “Alex, get ready to go. You have a half an hour to catch the train.” Dad yelled. “Be happy. You don’t have to go to class today so you can get used to looking and sounding like a girl.” He laughed. I walked out of the room. Lex, short for Alexandria, floated up in front of me. “I’m kind of a tomboy so I don’t have many skirts in the first place. And the manner you talk is fine also. All you really have to change is your voice. You’ll be fine the way it is now if you can keep it that way.” She smiled and flew quickly down the hall to where dad was. “Good morning dad. What’s for breakfast?” he looked up at me surprised. “Y…you sound just like Lex.” He smiled sadly. “You surprised me there bud. I hope she gets better.” He stood up slowly. “Well let’s go if you’re ready.” “What about breakfast?” “You took your time this morning so we don’t have time. We have twenty-five minutes to get to the train station. If you’re ready lets go. We can get something on our way.” With that he headed toward the door. I followed him and Lex me. We reached the station twenty minutes later. In the end I didn’t get anything. Dad said that he was sorry that we didn’t have time to get me something. Through the whole time I kept my voice in the high pitch to practice. On the train Lex told me about what had happened while she was at the school. She said that her roommate was afraid of men so I should keep as much distance as I can from her. The train stopped and we got off. Lex hung her arms over my back and grasped me so it was like I was carrying her. “We’re about ten minutes away. There are a lot of girls here so I’ll hold on to you like this. Don’t pay any attention to any of the others.” And she was right. There was a lot of girls. They were everywhere. ”This is nothing compared to the school. There are guys here in the town. There isn’t any guys in the school and there are about the same amount of girls here as in the school.” Dad led the way through the packs of people and it was hard to focus with so many girls crawling around. We walked out of the station and out to the street. It was slightly easier now. There was room to breathe. Dad smiled at me and started to walk again. I followed. Lex still hung on my back. It looked like a smaller town. It seemed that the school was the most important thing here. We walked on the road that headed towards a building that had to be the dorm. There were girls coming out of the door. We reached the gate after they had already turned the corner. I sighed with relief. I thought that I was going to be confronted by a group of girl’s right when I arrived. “The head of the dorm is always here and she’s sure to great us.” Lex said. We walked into the dorm. There was a lady at the front desk. She walked over to us. ”See, I told you.” “Your back. That’s good, I hoped for your quick recovery. ”She paused. “You don’t look like you got in an accident.” “I hit my head and was out of it for a few days.” “I also heard that you broke your leg.” “It only cracked. I’m not allowed to run or any other activity as such for the next week. It didn’t need any drastic attention. I’m kind of tired so I’m going to my room.” dad looked down at me surprised once again. ”Thanks dad. I’m fine now. You can go.” He smiled and turned saying nothing. “Well then, do you want me to come with you?” the lady asked. “No, I’m fine, I’ll get there by myself. Thanks for asking though.” And with that I left, Lex giggling on my back. I sighed when I turned the corner. “Good job. That was great. A little stiff but great.” Lex let go and flew down the hall. She stopped in front of one of the doors. ”This is our room.” I walked over and opened it. I followed Lex in and closed the door. I turned around and looked around the room. The walls were a peach color. There was two beds one on either side of the room. One had a red blanket and the other was dark blue. Lex floated over to the blue one. I walked over and sat down on it. “We sleep here.” “When do the girls come back? I want to get mentally prepared. I was only able to talk to the head person because you warned me and I was only thinking of what was being said.” “With you talking like me makes me feel like I’m talking to myself.” She paused as if to think. ”I believe that you still have another five minutes.” I sat back and looked at the ceiling. She chuckled. “Just so you know, I didn’t have any friends but everyone in this dorm worships me. I have the best grades, act the way I do, and I’m considered the most beautiful. You’re going to have to deal with them all asking you questions.” “I’ll just take the same position I did with the other person. I just hope they don’t ask anything stupid.” She laughed. ”So where are my clothes? I hope you don’t ware really tight things.” She pointed to the dresser to the left. “They aren't too tight. If you wear them they won’t expose you or hurt you. The only thing I’m worried about is the schools uniform. I think you’ll be fine if you use the spandex underwear. I have three pairs.” I stood and went over to the dresser and looked. It was as she said. There were three pairs. I closed the drawer as the door opened. The girl who came in had dark brown hair and it was fairly long. She had her head down reading a book so she didn’t notice me. Her eyes were hazel, the same as mine and Lex’s. I stood there watching her. She noticed right before she passed me. “Alex, your back!” She reached out to embrace me. I made a stumble to the side in the process getting smacked in the face. “Be careful! And didn’t I tell you to call me Lex. My brother’s name is Alex.” I walked over to the bed where Lex was laughing at me. “But you told everyone to call you Alex.” She followed me. I sat down. She sat down beside me. I didn’t pay attention to the fact that a girl was sitting there. “Well now I want you to call me Lex. I wouldn't’t be here if it wasn’t for him.” Which wasn't a lie since if I hadn’t decided to go ‘Lex’ wouldn’t be there? “What could a beast with no brains do. That’s all men are.” Lex grabbed my shoulder. “If you really think that then take a look at me. Do I look like a beast?” I asked. Lex squeezed my shoulder. “No, why would you. You’re not a man.” “My brother and I look exactly alike. We are what the doctors called miracle children. Even though we are two different sexes’ we look exactly the same. We are one being in two bodies. If you call him a beast then you’re calling me a beast. Do you want that?” She bolted strait up off of my bed. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know you held your brother to such high regard. Please disregard the comments I made towards him.” I nodded. She walked over to her bed and sat down. Lex leaned on my shoulder trying to sooth my anger. “So, what happened? I heard you got in a car accident. You don’t look like you’re hurt at all. I heard you broke your leg. Why don’t you have a cast?” “It wasn't bad enough to have to get one. I only cracked it. Well I’m going to sleep. I need to get some rest. Good night.” “I’ll wake you for dinner. You get some rest.” I sighed. Isn’t that what I just said. Damn, this girl talks too much. I closed my eyes and rolled on my side to face the wall. I hope that the others aren’t like that to. I fell to sleep a little while after. I don’t know if it was a dream or not but I started to hurt everywhere. There was some voices off to my left. One was my moms, I’m sure of it, and the other I didn’t recognize. The pain was too strong to actually hear what they were saying but I did catch one word. Lex. Oh, I see, this is Lex’s body. It feels like I was thrown into a fire and pulled out before I died. I moved my arm. The voices stopped and there was rustling. Something grabbed my hand. Pain shot up my arm. I sat up screaming. I grabbed the arm that had been in pain a second ago. I looked around the room. I was back in my dorm room. Lex came and grabbed my shoulder. “What happened?” “I think I was in your body. Someone touched your hand and I was shot back here.” I turned and stood up. “Oh well. I might as well make myself useful if I’m going to be up.” I stretched and headed out into the hall. There was no one to be seen. “Where is everyone?” “They all go do something while diner is prepared. You were left alone since you were asleep.” “That’s great. Take me to the kitchen. I’ll ask to cook since I’m not supposed to do anything.” Lex smiled and headed down the hall to the left. I followed her and arrived at the kitchen a few seconds later. There was no one in here either. “Seems like no one wanted to cook. That makes it even better. I won’t have anyone to compete for the kitchen.” I tied up my hair and washed my hands. I walked over to the fridge and looked to see what I had that I could make. There was enough to make a variety of foods. Curry rice, stir-fry, and a few other things. “What should I make. Curry or stir-fry?” “Why not make them both. I think it’s better with a variety. You have enough time to.” I shrugged and started to get to work. I finished with no interruptions. It seemed as though no one was going to make anything. I set up the table and put everything back to the way I found it. When I finished there was about three minutes till everyone was to be back. I smiled, job well done and went back to my bed. About seven minutes later Jen, the roommate, came in to get me for dinner. I got up and followed her to the dining room. Everyone was there already. Lex floated behind me telling me the names of each person. First was Jen who is my roommate, then was Nita who has the room next to me with Hana, then was the head of the dorm, and last was Sakura and Hikaru who are in the rooms at the end of the hall. They said nothing. All they did was eat. I’m not mad because it’s a better compliment to hear silence when others are eating your cooking. It means that they like it so much that they can’t focus on anything else. I also ate silently. I finished first. I stood up and went into the kitchen. I put my plate into the sink and walked back into the dining room. The room was becoming a little loud with chatter. I sat down and listened to then desperately try to find out who cooked dinner. After about five minutes the head took charge. “Quiet!!” everyone became silent. ”Now let’s do this in a more appropriate manner. Instead of telling each other it had to be them why don’t we just ask who cooked it. Now, who cooked dinner tonight?” she asked. “I did.” everyone looked at me. “What? Is that so unbelievable?” “They know that I can’t cook.” Lex told me. “My brother thought me how. My brother is amazing at cooking. He’s also won an award for his chilly.” The only ones to thank me were Jen and the head. All the others asked me a bunch of questions like when did I get back and what happened. Lex burst out laughing so hard that I also caught myself laughing. The room became silent. Again all eyes were on me. They looked shocked. “What? Did I do something wrong?” “You just laughed. That’s the first time we’ve seen you laugh.” Nita said beside me. “Really? Well you’re missing out on a great thing.” Jen reached out and put her hand on my shoulder. My hand started to shake. I calmly stood up and smiled to the group. “Thank you for your kindness. I’m getting a bit tired. I’m going to bed. Good night.” I turned and left the group. By this time my whole body was shaking. “So this is what your body does when a girl touches you. Will you be all right?” “I’ll be all right. I just need to get away from them for a few hours. It seems that it’s only when they touch me that I react.” I opened the door to my room and walked in. I walked over to my bed and sat down. Lex floated down to sit beside me. We sat for five minutes in silence. The door opened and Jen walked in. She silently sat on her bed while staring at her hand. Another five minutes passed in silence. “I don’t know what to believe. I know that you’re a man but you look just like Lex.” I looked up at her in surprise. “The only thing to think is that what you said was true and you both look exactly alike. And in that…” she looked up at me,” you must be Alex. Lex’s brother. There’s no use to try to deny it. I know you’re a man. When I touch men I break out with a rash. After I touched you after diner my hand broke out in a rash.” “You are correct.” I said. “Alex!” Lex yelled in surprise. “I am Alex. Lex is in the hospital injured badly. Even worse than any of the rumors say. Her body feels like it’s on fire and any time someone touches it pain shoots across her body.” “How do you know?!” “I've also felt it. I already told you that we are one person in two bodies. We are eternally connected. Even as we speak she listens. Ask me one thing that you know that only she would know.” She sat and thought for a few seconds. “Okay, what is my favorite thing?” “I don’t know your favorite but your second favorite thing is your pony Tomoki. Your favorite is probably your mom because she works so hard to take care of you.” Lex told me. I repeated what she said to Jen who stood up and looked angrily at me. “Fine! How about this? Where did my fear of men come from?” “From you're father. He raped you then tried to kill you. Your mom walked in as he was doing it and called the police. Your mother saved your life by hitting him in the back with a bat.” Lex told me. I repeated it the exact same way Lex had put it. She looked at me with tears forming in her eyes. She started to cry. Lex grasped my shoulder firmly and motioned to Jen. “This is a time you should forget your fear and be a supporting shoulder. Go comfort her. I can’t do it so you must.” I nodded and stood. I went and sat beside her. She didn't seem to notice. I slowly grabbed her shoulders and pulled her close to my chest. She didn’t try to pull away, she just kept crying. It became hard for me to bear. When others cry around me I cry to. It’s been like that since I was a child. The tears just start to come out as they did now. I felt her body start to relax. “You don’t have to cry alone anymore. I’ll cry with you.” We sat crying for a few minutes. Slowly her body stopped convulsing so I released her. She wiped her tear streaked face and looked up at me. I was in the process of wiping my own face. “You really did cry. Why?” “Well I can’t seem to keep from crying when another person is crying. I think it’s cold toward the other person’s feelings.” “Why are you being so nice and why are you here? This is a girl’s dorm for a girl’s school.” “Well, you see my father and mother sent me here.” “Why?” “I’m the exact opposite of you. You’re afraid of men and I’m afraid of women. We don’t know how it started but one day I was just afraid of them. That’s why me and my sister lived separately for so long.” “You’re afraid of your sister when she’s your twin?” “No, not sister. Mom.” “You’re afraid of your mom? How is that?” “Yeah, I know. Crazy isn’t it. I don’t quite understand it myself.” “What about me? You have a rash or something?” “I think I’m fine with you now. I kind of forced myself to hold still when I was holding you. I don’t get rashes. I get intense shakes.” I stood up and looked down at her. ”What about you? Did you get a rash? I hope that I didn’t hurt you or anything.” “I should be fine. If I break out I’ll just take a shower. That usually helps. Right now though we need to get some things taken care of. First off, how are you going to change?” “I’ll change in the bathroom.” I went and sat down on my bed. “Okay. We wear skirts to school. What are you going to wear? You can’t just go in pants you know.” “Lex had some spandex underwear. I’ll use them.” “I’m not saying that I trust you but I’ll let you stay in this room with me and try to help keep you being a guy a secret. You just try to be as normal as possible. And wake up on time to. Your sister was never late.” “I know. I haven’t been late in a few years either so you don’t have to worry.” “At school your sister is called the princes. She is looked up to by the entire school as the silent one. She didn’t really talk that much and they didn’t talk to her. Don’t be different right away or everyone will notice that you’re different. People might ask you what happened. Just be normal.” “I was already told most of that by Lex. I will do things as they are needed.” The only reason she was quiet was because of me. I will ease into talking. “Well, if that’s all there is to our conversation then I’ll be going to sleep.” She nodded her head and grabbed the book from before. I lay down and faced the wall. It had been a long day and my voice hurt a little from keeping its pitch up. I closed my eyes and soon fell asleep. Well, that's the first chapter. When you get the chance after you read this tell me if you like it and I'll post the next chapter. Till then ENJOY! FaricyUltimatium I don’t know when it started or even how all I can remember is that all women scare me. I get extremely nervous and kind of shaky. FaricyUltimatium |
