Do you have any songs/bands that you consider a guilty pleasure? like a song you'd rather play in your headphones than out loud on speakers. And how come?

I have one currently
Death cab for cutie- Codes and Keys

I consider it a guilty pleasure because i used to always make fun of one of my old girlfriends for always listening to these dudes because their music was really emo and depressing I thought. But this song is pretty upbeat and optimistic. haven't really seen a whole lot else that i like from them though....

I honestly do not have any guilty pleasures. I am pretty open what I listen to. Although, I guess sometimes I turn down the volume on my headphones if the Pokemon theme comes on........nuff said.

I have no guilty pleasures when it comes to music. Sure, I like the songs from MLP, but I'm not really ashamed of that. Only real men watch My Little Pony lol

I just thought of one. I occasionally listen to songs from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. I don't advertise that.

I have two...

Sexy, Naughty, b****y Me by Tata Young.
It's a catchy song that my friend, Cindy, introduced me to. While I don't personally apply the song to anything... I still enjoy and like it.

The Juggalette Song (Not the Redux) by Boo Clan
It's a song that I like; love his voice in this song.

I have TONS of music I would never play over speakers around other people, if only because most people probably wouldn't like the same genres & styles that I do.  I'm not really guilty; it's just that sometimes I get self-conscious about a song that starts getting repetitive when other people are around.

As for my guilty pleasures, I have Skrillex.  Whenever someone asks me if I like Skrillex, I say no, and I pretty much mean it.  A lot of his stuff just isn't appealing to me; he'll set up a perfect melody (like the "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" intro), then all the rhythm is just gone.  It's LOUD, but the energy just doesn't flow so well.  However, there are a few songs that I really like, and I play those to myself so I don't draw attention from people who are into the banging, hardcore ULTRA SICK DROPS he produces.  Those conversations are hard to carry on.

Also, in the darkest corners of my interests, lie a few Lady Gaga songs.  Now that they're not being blasted continuously on Top 40 Radio and poorly recreated by my peers, I can listen to the phenomenally catchy "Poker Face" in peace.  I really respect Lady Gaga as a musician.  Even though she pulls weird costume stunts for attention, she really doesn't need to.  For anyone who is even remotely into swing/jazz, there's a great duet of her and TONY BENNETT that really shows how great she is without all the modern frills. http://bit.ly/oGvqYY
