While you have used the bible and other forms to make your choice that god is real, I used basic logic to make a personal choice that I don't believe in god.

It's not your job to try and "convert" me and it's not my job to try and change your beliefs.

lol, I was too lazy to read the whole thread. But I would like to use this oppurtunity to say that I was severly displeased, to put it mildly, that several debates I was looking foward to turned almost immediately into a religion debate. Bringing religion into a debate is fair and everything but it's usually not a good thing to lean on and it's even less of a good thing to turn a debate into. So stop bashing eachother over religion. I enjoy debating, even against those who show little or no evidence to support themselves. I don't like fighting with words. If you want to fight then come over and fight me, I've never been in one before but I've always wanted to. Let's make it a boxing match so it's not considered violence though ;P
Anyways, stick to debating/argueing. But don't fight and bash, k?

It was an example Jin of how close minded you are, this hole time ive been saying he COULD be real, not that he is dips***, your the one who cant accept that fact he MIGHT be real, you think I base my beliefs on the bible, I havent seen a bible in years.

I haven't seen enough facts to suggest he might be real. If I did I might think otherwise.

Believing in god is done by faith, I need some sort of proof.

Oooook, I'm going to try and compare this to my post as nonpartisanly as possible, which will not be easy to do seeing as theres little capitalization and no punctuation.

I said: "Every passing day I lose hope for this world. Not because of the leaders in place, though they are indirectly involved. I fear the ignorance of the masses."
Difference: I didn't once refer to global implosion, nor did I mention anything that could be interpreted as partisan or biased. I am fine with people supporting Bush if they have reasons. I am fine with people supporting Kerry if they have reasons. I am not fine with people making their judgments on half and completely untrue things. For instance, a poll was conducted right before the election that found that 70% of Bush voters continue to believe that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and ties to al Quaeda even though Donald Rumsfeld and Colin Powell themselves had made statements to the contrary. I find this very sad and disconcerting.

Difference: I have scanned my post time and time again to find any reference to liberal opinions altogether. My statement was all encompassing. Some Democratic voters are just as ill-informed as some Republican voters are. The point I was trying to make was that debate clears up these misconceptions by provide hard documented evidence and an eventual resolution.

Wow... people here are so bad that they turned this thread into an argument over politics and religion. This makes me sick.

End it, please, for the love of all things you hold dear, end it! The bickering is annoying and repetative. And this is a completly unbiased observation, but the non-liberals are the ones perpetuating it by making a**h*** remarks.

In all honesty though, I find myself wondering why I bothered to come back... I feared the peace would not last for long. Gods I miss the board being like it was when I joined originally, so much nicer then.

I would gladly stop the religious based debates but I am not going to just let these immature kids play their little games and use holier than thou propaganda and personal attacks.

The only thing worse than them doing that, and is letting them think that it is acceptable by any means.

If you'll go back through the threads, most religious based discussions in non religious based debates were brought up by the conservative bunch as a way to "win" the debate and then proceeded to attack anyone who questioned their so called "victory".

It has been that way since I joined a little over two weeks ago.

I don't want to be stepping over the line here, but the fact is the admins and a good chunk of the mods are conservatives themselves with an agenda of their own.
Not to mention the biggest offenders are friends with the admins. So there's a conflict of interest right there which allows them to carry out these acts of immaturity and overall stupidity which has basically ruined the forum for most people, myself included.

I'm not even going to act like I'm a sweet little angel who is perfect, I returned flames in a few thread. Notice -returned- not started. But for the most part these guys like to start s***, blame the liberal crowd and then proceed to flame anyone who questions them. Take a look at the UFO thread of you don't believe me. It's happening every day and the admins and mods just don't want to hear it.

There's a certain point where personal responasability goes into the territory of a mod or admin stepping in and saying yes, Enough IS enough. I noticed they had no problem telling me my Bad Religion avatar was a step over the line, or that my so-called bible bashing was offensive. While those are general attacks if at all, John, Skyline, Silence and his little group of neo conservative nazis are allowed to troll this forum to no end with nothing more than a slap on the wrist followed by a pat on the back.

Something is seriously wrong, and it really stinks.

My opinion.

I could careless for such a forum altogether, after seeing how one grows and matures.

This thread is a solitude example of it's issues.

Religious debate and political reasoning don't interest me whatsoever, because half the time people will be completely one sided on what they believe, so it's useless to argue.

I already stated in one of the threads in that forum I'm done posting in that forum, and I've kept my word.

In the end, such a forum simply doesn't interest me.

I thought I may as well throw in my opinion on the issue also here.
