So far right now, the AFC West is like this:

Broncos:8-6
Oakland: 7-7
Chargers: 7-7
Chiefs: 6-8


Anything can happen right now. Tim Tebow brought the Broncos with a 7-2 record. Chargers QB Philip Rivers has a lot of interceptions through the season. So... your thoughts?

I think that the Chargers would collapse if they lost Philip Rivers despite his numerous interceptions, and that if the Chargers kept some players (Drew Brees) they would be in the playoffs at this time.  I am also amazed at how the Chiefs are 6-9 but beat the Packers and the Bears (even given the Bears have had a horrible season after they lost Cutler and Forte).

I know this is an old post but I think the AFC west smells worse than a bag of baby diapers.  It's terrible.  Just because everyone is hovering around .500 doesn't make it interesting.  It means some dumpy team gets to the playoffs before getting smoked by the Patriots.

The AFC West is pretty weak the last couple of years, but last year they were pretty decent. They had an alright season, I suppose. The Raiders had a decent season, the Cards did alright, hell, the Broncos actually made it into the playoffs, and beaten the Steelers! I was impressed by the division last year.
