First off, we shouldn't care about who finds the thief, we should concentrate on finding him (or her), period! The best way to do this is to use this forum to combine our data, information and hunches, until we arrive to a consensus about who we think is the real thief. This way, the thief will not be able to mislead us this easily. To further ensure this, there should be no judge, only votes.

Remember : the "reward", if there is any, is secondary to justice. Our main goal should be recovering the stolen items, and bring the thief to justice. (Trust me, I watched and played too many investigation shows and games not to know this).

Hopefully you have recovered your senses.

NOTE: I did not mean to offense anyone, I'm just stating the facts as they stand.

If someone is willing to help me, we could try doing a timeline of the events that occurred that day. This will allow us to identify contradictions, and eliminate them by further questioning.
The timeline format I suggest is this (ignoring the blue highlight):

8:00 PM - Event 1 -
According to X, A occurred.
According to Y, B occurred.
According to Z, B occurred.


Like this, it is obvious that "A occurred", from person X, contradicts the testimonies of Y and Z.
