This is probably one of the least important moments of my day, but I feel for your loss.

It was just another lame remodeling show that there seem to be millions of now.

dude, that show helped out a lot of people. How could you feel like it doesn't really matter? And, are you a global mod? Do you look at everything, because you reply to a lot of my threads?

It never helped me.

To me it was nothing more than another lame TV show. It helped people. Great. But it didn't help me, and my home is literally worse than half the houses on that show. So I can't really enjoy it like everyone else.

I am a global mod, and I look at everything. I like to make sure everything is in order.

A) I don't need a fancy house or fancy things. I'm happy how I am.
B) I don't have any illnesses unless depression is an illness to them.
C) Sad Story? You mean other that I never really knew my father, my mother lied to me for 18 years, and they kicked me out to go live alone with my grandmother basically as soon as I finished high school just because I couldn't get a job right away? No. Can't say I do.

Anyway, it's not much of a concern for me. I'm happy how I am.

I'm simply stating I don't care for TV Shows like this... I respect what they do. Congrats to them, kudos for doing great work. But I don't care to watch it.

Well, some strong opinions on this thread. I'll try to lighten it up a bit. I did have respect for what they did. It was nice. Although, it really only worked out on the times when enough people pitched in to may the mortgage on the house. There were some stories about families that ended up worse off than before after the show because the payments were insanely high. But for those who were given the house mortgage free got a sweet deal. It is a shame that nobody else will get this opportunity, but all shows gotta end sometime. I mean, this show did make big fancy houses with expensive stuff, so they gotta have a lot of viewers to afford to keep it up. Once people start watching, the show would just cost more than it makes.

thing1 : Darn.  I really enjoyed watching this show.  I don't have a TV so I get it off hulu when ever they upload them.  This show is one that helped a lot of people.  It brought to our attention as a nation, things that could help all of us, to be able to look out past our needs and see others.  I am really bummed the show is being canceled.  I really like the idea of building houses and started to go to a tech school to learn carpentry.     If we look at the bright side, though there is still habitat for humanity.  They won't be building huge grand houses but at least we still have homes being built in the community for those that can't have a house otherwise.  Who knows maybe another show will pick up where they left off and fix homes up for those that do have houses that are falling into disrepair.  I wonder if the show is being canceled because of the domino effect of Sears hurting financially.

Blac : If I remember correctly, they are canceling the show because of ratings... and as for hoping that another show will come along to take up wherever Extreme makeover: Home Edition left off; i sure hope so, or else i will be extremely disappointed. I mean, what will i watch on Sunday nights without this show. But, you missed something: Habitat for Humanity will do houses for the people, but about the sickness of some people? Thank God there is Make A Wish
