(I think this may be out of place, but oh well. Computer games =/= this topic.)
Okay, I would like to make a computer theme just like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cgs9vH4RG40&feature=related I already know how to get the background, but how would you do the rotating icons? Also, I have no experience with any of this. --EDIT-- Also, how would I be able to have music going in a loop when on the desktop, but I could turn it off by clicking it? Im pretty sure thats not real, but its an interface for a game.
Any why the heck would you want music looping like that?? Winamp can be docked to your screen, so its outa view, then you mouse over that edge and it pops up. If you want a REAL awesome GUI for a operating system, go look up breyl (ubuntu) linux.

I'm gonna go look that up now. --EDIT-- Looked it up. I wouldn't be able to use a computer if it had something like that. It's that bad. (No offense, It's just WAY to flashy. I can only work with things in front of me, instead of rotating a 3D desktop, and I like the windows staying as rectangles.) Now, I would like something like the ALTIMIT one I showed you, because of the fact that the circles for icons rotate around the screen, and if you want them to, they go in the corner like a regular desktop. It would be pretty cool, and possibly easily done. Latley I've been looking in to flash embedding in Visual Studio (VB6, VB.NET VC++, VC# VJ#), and in theory, if this was possible to make in flash it could easily be ported to a program that runs on startup.

I like computer themes but the downloadable ones almost always have massive viruses... I want to get a Maple Story computer theme (mouse pointer, menus, etc.) but I am not going to download one from somewhere I do not trust.

Do you mean a windows emulator? Anyways, would you know how to make something like a .exe program that has either animation (like in the video), or no animation, where when you click on an icon, it'd actually oepn up another program? I mean, I make a program, and it launches on startup. And the program is just a container for a flash clip. Which goes full screen. It can load all the icosn from your desktop, and let you open files, browse images, ect ect.

I tried to replicate this flash thing, couldnt do it.. its way to advanced for me.
Would be able to make it execute regular programs, but still, it wouldnt be a full replacement to windows.

Currently I don't even think there's a type of way to edit your Vista to a specific modified desktop theme. :/ you could try it though, but I doubt there's one out there.
