Hi there,
I'm having a problem installing the RGR Plug in on my laptop. It gets up to the point where it starts installing then says "Preparing to install" and does nothing, and then it won't close so I can try again until my computer decides it has had me waiting long enough and tells me that it's not responding. No really? It's not responding?

This is a new laptop, I don't know what model or whatever but it says HP Mini on it. I'm not exactly a computer wiz.
I also know that I can import files from my old computer somehow, but it has over 100 viruses on it (Hence the new computer) and I don't want to let them in.

It's possible that you have other programs or applications running which are interfering like Windows Updates for example. 2 things I could think of with what info you given is to check your Task Manager for any other application that might be running while trying to install the plugin. Or check the Windows Updates website for the status of your computer.

Edit - also, is the plugin installer in your downloads folder, or in a different folder?

I don't know the big technicalities behind the Plugin, but generally when a program is not responding it's because all of the RAM is being used. It might be more likely to run without issues if you close any other programs you're running.

This is an RGR Plugin problem, so I'll move this over to the RGR Forum.

I got it! YES YES YES!!!!
It turns out my blocker was blocking it without telling me (grr!) so I just had to manually open it and allow it to go through.
Sorry about this but: YEAHYEAHYEAH WOO! I was waiting so long to play. YES!
