So, I have a roommate from Japan who has a ridiculous knowledge of Japanese Anime. I'd like to show him that America isn't totally lacking good Anime shows, so can anyone recommend any good American Anime shows? I've thought of Teen Titans and Avatar the Last Airbender. Which would you show? One of these or any others?

I was just about to recommend Avatar:The Last Airbender lol you beat me to it. Anyway both are really good shows, but I would highly recommend showing Avatar because it's epic, funny at times, and has a good length of about 3 seasons. Sorry for not listing any others but these are the only two shows that I know.

Seconding Megas XLR. It's pretty much the best show ever.

Oh yeah, he might enjoy Kappa Mikey. You probably won't, because it might be offensive to someone who actually thinks anime is cool, but it parodies every single anime cliche out there. Also it's Canadian.

I can't really say I mean there are a few like Hi Hi ami Yumi show and My life as a teenage robot but those aren't action anime shows but if you consider them then go for it.But most anime they aired here in the u.s are actions .But look like better animes when the anime isn't action but thats on several kinds .
