I have been a long time fan of anime and I am currently looking for a new anime. I have watch everything from high school of the dead to code geass. And am currently looking for a new anime. I'd prefer the anime be similar to code geass with the mechs and all just as long as its not a spacey anime nothing in space like gundam is and has a similar art style as code geass. It's really hard finding good anime these days so thanks for your help everyone who replies.

I have never seen code geass, so I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for. But if you like mecchs and not spacey, you might like Zoids. I liked it when I was in high school. But it definitely is not near as mature oriented as a show like High School of the Dead.

Even I haven't found a show similar to Code Geass. Did you see R2 (there're approximately 50 episodes not 25 R2 means season 2). Have you tried Bleach? It's a pretty good show.  Blue Exorcist is another great one although it's subbed only.

It's a mecha anime that I only watched the first few episodes of. I don't really like mecha animes, which was the only reason I stopped watching it. The art and animation was good, and the characters are pretty interesting.

Saiyuki isn't a mecha anime at all, but I'll toss that name in here too because the series is pretty good. It's the story about 4 guys journeying west to try to stop demons in their world from going crazy.

I cannot recommend Baccano enough.  It has interesting characters, once it gets started the plot just keeps rolling, and its only 13 episodes long (16 if you count the Ova's)
