It's really a tie between Chikorita and Torchic but ultimately I decided Chikorita because I love grass types it's from my favourite generation and I love it's evolutions a little bit better than Torchic's!

I never really got into Pokémon games as a kid, so the first game I played a lot was Soul Silver, where I had a Cyndaquil. Never let me down. He would always be my first choice, with Charmander a close second, because, come on, Charizard. No more needs to be said.

If it depended on regions i would most likely choose the fire type except for treeko and piplup. i choose them over the fire types even though i like blaziken. If i had to choose out of all them put together i would most likely chooose cyndaquil.

Not a poll choice, but I personally would've gone with Snivy. Did a lot for me in Pokemon Black, and I think I kinda enjoy her more (yes, mine was female) because I didn't constantly spam her throughout the entire game like I usually do in Pokemon games with the starters.
