At my school, we have something called the "Gold Star Assembly". It is basically (part of) a day, where we honor the 50 some students and 1 teacher from our school who died in wars overseas. The band and choir do "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and the choir sings something else that slips my mind at the moment.

I'm wondering, do any of you have anything similar? Anything to honor students from your school who died in wars or in other tragedies?
