Well, that depends on what you mean for the object. Food? I tend to prefer off-brand because it's cheaper, or sometimes I'd just buy the name brand food because it tastes better, or something. For clothes, that's a different story. I prefer name brand clothes much more than off-brand clothes, but I do buy off-brand clothes sometimes.

I'm the opposite of snowdeath I guess, I Don't make much money so I buy "off brand clothes", even though most of it comes from the same place. Although some of those more pricey clothes are much more durable I still go with off brand since I only buy plain T's and blue jeans for roofing lol. As for food, bring on the good stuff I want the real deal food since I can usually tell a big difference in the other brands. Doesn't go for all foods though.

I would have to agree with Snowdeath on this one. It all depends on what the product is. If it is food or clothing then it will usually be store brands; however, if it is something that I will need (or want) for a longer period of time, let's say electronics, I would prefer name brands knowing that they are more likely built to last.
